AVS was approved as a service within the DISA Provisional Authorization of Azure Government at IL5

Today we are pleased to announce that Azure VMware Solution in Microsoft Azure Government was approved and added as a service within the DISA Provisional Authorization of Azure Government at Impact Level 5.

Azure VMware Solution (AVS) is a fully managed service in Azure that customers can use to extend their on-premises VMware vSphere workloads more seamlessly to the cloud, while maintaining their existing skills and operational processes. Azure VMware Solution was already approved at DoD Impact Level 4 in Azure Government. With this latest approval, DoD customers and their partners who require the higher impact level can now meet those requirements. Customers and their partners who require DoD Impact Level 2 can use Azure VMware Solution in Azure Commercial or Azure Government.
