nikosdelis I actually implement something like that in https://github.com/Azure-Samples/rag-postgres-openai-python

In the query rewriting phrase of the RAG flow, I use openAI function calling to decide whether I should also append a price filter to the SQL query. See https://github.com/Azure-Samples/rag-postgres-openai-python/blob/main/src/fastapi_app/query_rewriter.py#L23
