Great discussion, one question. You (Uli Homann) say "You separate them with a queue and don't allow complex shared data updates like inventory." which I think sounds awesome (no shared data access). Any ideas how that could be done in a payment step ? It´s a very synchronous process. A queue and then for example SignalR back to the client communicating the status of the payment?
