Fantastic article which solved our issue updating a dynamic group of 110k objects. Thanks so much

 

A few clarifications that may help others:

-Event 623 (which specifies maximum size ie: 436Mb) will not show up until DWORD has been added

-Reg key is named "EDB max ver pages (increment over the minimum)" including parenthesis

-DWORD values should be specified in decimal for the bucket size (ie: 0x3e80 (16000) )

-Once event is visible, the backend will still will not use the DWORD size until AFTER a server reboot or AD service is restarted

-When restarted, give it about 5 mins more even after the service appears Running
