On-premises Active Directory is basically on life support at this point. I wouldn't expect any new tools to document functionality they unveiled 20+ years ago. But I agree with you - it is useful. I believe those download links are taken down automatically if someone at Microsoft doesn't continually "sponsor" them being there, so it kinda just died.
I have heard others recommend Azure Service Map as a replacement, but I haven't used this and It doesn't seem to be specifically "aware" of replication topology or domain structure.
There is also this PowerShell approach, but that seems very labor intensive vs just building the diagram in Visio.
