Maybe you could help me. I cannot install anything! After reinstalling Windows 8.1 Windows will not update, it just hangs thee looking for updates. Attempting to go through the troubleshooting list it tells me to do a Standalone Install of KB3173424 (Servicing Stack Update) using the Standalone Installer. But the Standalone Installer fails returning error code 0x8024001e.
Before I attempted that, I ran the Windows Update Repair Tool. It found errors and said it fixed them. I also ran the Powershell script Repair-WindowsUpdate.ps1 which finished with no errors reported but solved nothing. I notice from the Windows Update log that it says that, for normal Windows Update, the PerUpdate limit of 1000 is exceeded with 3316 updates required and stops the download due to exceeding the size limitation. I have no clue as to how to change this PerUpdate value. Also, it does not explain the failure of the Standalone Installer. Help!
