The new PDF reader is just worse than the last one. I have a PDF that
opens instantly in Firefox, Chrome, and Edge with the flag
(edge://flags/#edge-new-pdf-viewer) turned off, but takes 2-3 minutes to
load into the "improved" acrobat PDF experience. And for what?
I'm afraid to say that the new PDF reader fails like the current one to
offer a satisfactory UX when Edge is running in kiosk mode. For example
there is no visible way to close the reader, and if one uses the
onscreen gadget to expand the PDF to run full screen, then there is no
way return to normal...
@Daveheart78 I've actually been trying to find the PDF renderer that was
used in Edge. I looked for it the last time I went through this, and
actually found whose renderer was used (I think it started with an 'S').
But I can't remember anymore, and all my search results now just bring
up articles ho...
