Dynamics 365 Federation in Microsoft Search  

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a line of intelligent business applications designed for enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management. With Dynamics 365 federation, Microsoft Search provides a seamless search experience, enabling users to easily find the most relevant customer and business data stored in Dynamics 365.

 

We are pleased to announce Dynamics 365 results in Microsoft Search will be released in General Availability in the coming weeks! Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a line of intelligent business applications designed for enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management. This connector allows Dynamics 365 users to view their most relevant customer and business data, right from their Microsoft Search endpoints, bridging together two of Microsoft’s biggest clouds. The Dynamics 365 connector provides some key benefits:

 

  • Easy to use: Users can easily and quickly find key information stored in Dynamics 365, without needing to navigate to a new app or page.
  • Easy to find: Dynamics 365 content is visible to users in Bing.com, Office.com, and SharePoint.
  • Built-in data protection: Dynamics 365 results will only appear for users that have access to the connected instance.
  • Quick setup: Easy to configure and maintain the search connection to a Dynamics 365 instance.
  • Unified search experience: To maintain a cohesive experience, Dynamics 365 results are consistent across all search entry points. Wherever you search, you'll get the same results with the same look and feel.

Azure Cognitive Search Federation in Microsoft Search  

We are pleased to announce preview support for Azure Cognitive Search results in Microsoft Search. By creating a bridge between the two Microsoft clouds, your employees can now access Azure Cognitive Search results in Microsoft Search endpoints like Bing.com, Office.com, and SharePoint.

 

  • Easy to use: Users can easily and quickly find key information stored in Azure Cognitive Search (ACS), without needing to navigate to a new app or page.
  • Easy to find: ACS content is visible to users in Bing.com, Office.com and SharePoint.
  • Customizable permissions: ACS results can be configured to appear for everyone in the organization or refined to specific AAD Access Control Lists.
  • Adaptable result layouts: ACS results can be formatted with a default layout, based on your data’s schema, or can be customized using Modern Result Types.
  • Quick setup: Simple to configure and easy to maintain the search connection to an ACS index.
  • Unified search experience: To maintain a cohesive experience, ACS results are consistent across all search entry points. Wherever you search, you'll get the same results with the same look and feel.
