Re: Missing history button in Edge Stable?
Hurray the History button has finally appeared for me (as well as the Downloads button). On Version 92.0.902.73 (Official build) (64-bit) and I haven't done anything extra (e.g. still Windows 10 no settings or other changes made). Thanks Edge Team but I still find this staged rollout where some features take over half a year to appear for some users to be very strange and confusing.

frogman2205 Agreed. Also to note that as well as missing the History button I'm also missing the Downloads button just like in your screenshot. Very weird issue indeed. Maybe it will magically work when I upgrade to Windows 11 when that's released.

Actually that gives me some hope! Obviously Microsoft haven't rolled it out to everyone and maybe I'm just part of the group they are testing by making us wait longer. I do find the whole thing super confusing and unsatisfactory though because I'm often getting features (in my release install) that supposedly are still in beta but then I'm missing on the History button and the Downloads button both of which appear on all the other computers I support and work with. It's so inconsistant, you never know what features will be available on a computer and they also don't consistantly follow the version numbering. It's almost like a psychological experiment Microsoft is carrying out on users to confuse them. It also makes supporting and helping people more difficult because you can't have any real idea what features Microsoft have randomly blessed them with. I understand release waves and test phases and how useful they are but they should match version numbers and users should be able to understand what features they have available. This is just frankly offputting.

Yep I'm now on v. 91 as well and still no history button. I work with managing computers and basically I'm seeing it available on every computer I work with now but not my own personal one. I wonder if it's possibly due to having installed Edge from the very earliest download version that was available via the Google search before it was officially released.

Yep I too am running Version 90.0.818.62 (Official build) (64-bit) and also still have no sign of this History menu. It's really starting to seem like this is a bug at this point but since we don't have any information from the Edge team about the rollout of this feature it's difficult to know if it's a bizarrely slow feature rollout. I feel at this point I might only get this feature in a few years when I upgrade my computer because it doesn't seem to like something about this one.

Version 90 and still don't have this despite seeing it on all the other devices I have and work with. I tried HotCakeX's shortcut target on this new version 90 and it didn't help either. Can anyone on the Edge team give advice on what is going on or when this feature rollout is expected to complete?

Hi HotCakeX Thank you for that. I followed your instructions (and even restarted the computer to make sure Edge was restarted) but unfortunately the flag --enable-features=msHistoryHub didn't help. Maybe because I'm running stable and it really hasn't been released for me yet. Interesting though that this one feature seems so hard to manually enable. I managed to get the vertical tabs early by going to edge://flags but there is nothing about history there and I was sure your shortcut modifier would work but unfortunately it didn't 🙂 I will wait patiently, at least I know that nothing is *wrong* with my Edge install even if it is confusing and annoying to wait for such a useful feature!

HotCakeX Interesting. Thank you both for the quick replies. From my experience what HotCakeX is saying sounds the most likely. I have observed that new features seem to randomly roll out and don't necessarily follow the version number. Just strange that the history flyout button has rolled out to all my other devices (it's such a great feature which is why I'm missing having it!). Hopefully it will be fully rolled out soon but I've been unable to find any official release date information about this feature - even in the official feature development lists on this forum. As an aside, while I understand this feature rollout is useful for testing, as an end user it is really confusing, especially because it doesn't always seem to come with version number changes. Also it's extremely confusing when features get announced as if they are already available but really they have not fully rolled out (it's not just Edge, this applies to the business version of Office365 among other Microsoft products). I'm not the only one to be confused as you can see from the post by this journalist: https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2021/03/microsoft-adds-startup-boost-sleeping-tabs-to-edge-build-89/?comments=1&post=39718725 Microsoft you have great products and the features you are rolling out e.g. in Edge make me actively prefer them over other options but your messaging about feature rollouts can be very confusing!

Missing history button in Edge Stable?
I've waited a while to ask this because I thought maybe it's a feature that's being rolled out in stages but it seems to have been around for a long time now and rolled out simultaneously on all of my other devices but I can't see the new history button in Edge Stable on my desktop PC. I also don't have any option to turn it on even: I've tried resetting Edge by deleting the entire profile folder and setting up from scratch but that also didn't help. I do have the Vertical Tabs, etc. already. My Edge details are (Windows 10 Pro x64):
