jmsoulsby678 These are the steps to reproduce that we were able to collect from customers and used during our investigations. Set a website (e.g., https://example.com) in IE mode and as startup URL. Launch Edge, let the site begin loading. Start typing in the address bar before the page fully loads. Observe grey/black bar overlaying the address bar, the div can also appear to be black it is based on the appearance of the browser, grey if light mode is set and black if dark mode is set. Issue observed with Google, Bing and Yahoo set to be the search engine in the address bar.

The fix has been released to Microsoft Edge Canary Channel versions 142.0.3562.0+. jmsoulsby678 jsavage-work - If you can test on Edge Canary let me know if the issue is fixed. We are also working on backporting to the other channels and will let you know when it is available. Thanks! -Kelly

felipecrs - Do you have the Intune App Protection Policy setting "Approved keyboards" = "Require"? Based upon the most recent investigation, it seems to be specifically reproducing with that policy and the team is working on this issue. -Kelly

Ihab hvandijkms - A fix for this issue should be available in the Edge Canary Channel, Versions 140.0.3415.0+. The team is working on releasing the fix to the other Channels. I'll follow up with further updates!
