Error when submitting a vote from Microsoft Forms polls
When trying to respond to a Microsoft Forms poll, in either Outlook 365 desktop or online (Chrome), it tries to submit but then an error comes up asking me to "Try again later". Any help is appreciated. This is the diagnostic output from the voting submission action. Has been happening for two days now, and works online directly on the Microsoft Forms site: "{ "refreshCardSerialized": null, "refreshCardSignature": null, "status": "Failed", "displayMessage": "Something went wrong. Please try again.", "hideCard": false, "removeCard": false, "showOriginalCard": false, "isEphemeralRefreshCard": false, "cardUpdates": null, "authenticationUrl": null, "errors": [ { "httpCode": 0, "httpStatusCode": null, "claims": null, "url": null, "message": "Something went wrong. When opening up an Excel file in SharePoint Online, that is pre-set to be read-only, there is an option in Excel to "Edit Anyways" as it's read-only and "To prevent accidental changes, the author has set this file to open as read-only". When clicking this "Edit Anyways" button, the following error comes up: "We're having trouble connecting to the server. If this keeps happening, contact your help desk." This happens when opening the file in Excel Online, and Excel in-app. Any ideas? Thank you1.4KViews0likes0CommentsSharePoint Online's "Move To" feature no longer showing my sites
Some point a few weeks ago the Move To function changed. Now when you want to move a file out of a Site and into another, it doesn't let you pick from your Followed Sites, it only lets you pick from your Recent document libraries. We have many Sites and it's making it difficult to move items efficiently (if the location you're moving something to doesn't show up, you have to click around in it in another tab for it to eventually show up in Recent). Previous, it just showed all of my sites that I am a member/followed. Any idea why this might have changed? These are all stand-alone sites, no O365 connection, but they are all part of the same hub-site network. Thank you!20KViews0likes10CommentsSharePoint Online search results have removed the path
I've noticed recently that my SharePoint online site search results no longer show a folder path to the results - it used to show a basic breadcrumb structure of where the searched file was located. Any way to return this functionality? It's incredibly useful when searching to figure out where the result is... seems extremely counterintuitive to remove it. Sometime within the past few days, I noticed that a column from a parent content type is not being inherited by any children's content types. This is a custom column that we created that we use across all of our sites. The problem is not site-specific, it happens on any site that I test adding the child content type to. One of the parent columns is not available. Any way to troubleshoot this? I re-published the parent and child last night, and there is no change so far.1.3KViews0likes3CommentsSharePoint Online Modern Quick Links web part can no longer select Document Library from "Site"
When I open up Quick Links web part and go to Add a link, then select the "Sites" option, as of yesterday my Document Libraries are no longer selectable. I can only navigate within them and select files/etc. Any ideas why this is happening?Solved7KViews1like11Comments
