Re: ESP Status messages-Inconsistent
Anantha Subramanian Srinivasan- The Autopilot deployment flows have so many components involved that there can be many factors involved in errors. We're looking into ways to surface more detailed diagnostics to end users for faster self-service. If you have any suggestions for us there, please send them our way. We always love to hear feedback from our customers.Re: Why can't we have the same (and more) naming options for Hybrid AAD Join?
relRGB- We've heard this request from other customers, too, and are looking into making device naming capabilities more consistent between AADJ and Hybrid AADJ. The difference was more due to the complexity of the infra that supported Hybrid AADJ and its limitations. If you have more naming suggestions other than what's currently provided for AADJ and Hybrid AADJ, please send them our way; we love to get more ideas from our customers.Re: Device-related vs user-related settings for AutoPliot deployment
Red Flag- The general principle is that anything that is device-targeted is applied during the Device Setup phase, and whatever is user-targeted is applied during Account Setup. Underneath the covers, Device Setup runs in the OOBE user context, which doesn't have access to the AAD user account, and so only device-targeted settings can be pushed down to the device. Account Setup runs in the context of the AAD user account, and so settings targeted to the user can be determined by Intune and pushed down to the device. Hope that helps clarify.Re: Autopilot ESP "Account setup" phase speed
We continue to look for opportunities to improve the speed of the Autopilot flow as a whole. For instance, we've released a client-side performance improvement for the Windows 4C cumulative update. Of course, client-side changes are only effective if the changes are in the image applied to the device already. For service-side improvements, we release monthly, and you can check https://aka.ms/intunewhatsnewfor latest changes. Also, if you have in mind specific suggestions for UX, feel free to send those our way; we're always happy to get such ideas from our customers.1.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: For existing machines registered in Autopilot, do you need to re-register when the OS is reinstalled
Lynn Towle- If the device is already registered into Autopilot, the device can be reset or reimaged, and the device remains registered. We've seen issuestypically tied to Hybrid AADJ, where failures are due to improper targeting of the "Domain Join" profile.
