Re: Mobile app Sub folder notifications
Im not 100% sure but I think its just a free service from microsoft, I have been using it with my old company and with my personal free outlook email with no problem. Just a little rectification apparently the app has been renamed to Power Automate instead of microsoft flow2.3KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Mobile app Sub folder notifications
Hi RickyR1969 I posted a workaround to this in 2020, cant believe that this is still a problem and that it wasnt yet implemented natively by microsoft. well, I’ll just paste below what I posted in page1: Hint for people that have the same issue and those who might end-up here: The best solution I found currently is to use MS-flow app, I succeeded to have notifications with a little delay for outlook account. Install ms-flow app from the store then follow these steps: - Create a new flow - from the triggers list, pick when a new email comes v2 (there is a trigger for outlook and one for 365). - hit login, it will ask you to login - then add Notification from the action list - you can choose what to show in the notification (I picked sender and body of email).2.3KViews0likes4CommentsRe: Mobile app Sub folder notifications
I have posted this workaround 2 years ago (Workaround in my comment in page 1) and since I've been getting notifications about more people complaining about the issue. Sadly two years later I can tell you that this is still kind of the only valid workaround to get notified about an email in a subfolder. - And for people who mention some workarounds on Outlook Desktop, please note that this topic is titled "Mobile app Sub folder notifications" (Mobile app). - Also to thewingpk please note that this topic is not about contacts at all. Its about people who have made an outlook rule configured to deliver some emails to a certain folder. Now these people are not being notified by the outlook app when there is a new email in the subfolder, therefore we have to constantly check our subfolders to see if we got any new emails. (yes its that basic 🙂 ). Thanks26KViews2likes0CommentsRe: Mobile app Sub folder notifications
Victor_Ivanidze Thanks for the proposition Victor. But this topic is about the outlook android app not the desktop app. I'am surprised that this basic functionality is not in the app yet..I'am a developer and I know how this work, it's a shame that Microsoft implements their outlook application without thinking about having a notification for sub-folder new mails.. Hint for people that have the same issue and those who might end-up here: The best solution I found currently is to use MS-flow app, I succeeded to have notifications with a delay of 15 minutes as it sychronizes every 15 min for outlook account and I think every 5 min for 365 email accounts. Install it from the store then follow these steps: - Create a new flow - from the triggers list, pick when a new email comes v2 (there is a trigger for outlook and one for 365). - hit login, it will ask you to login - then add Notification from the action list - you can choose what to show in the notification (I picked sender and body of email).162KViews1like7Comments
