Windows Admin Center version 2009 is now generally available!
Today we announce the general availability of Windows Admin Center version 2009, the latest version of our reimagined server management experience. In this release, we have made improvements across the product with new support for Azure Kubernetes Service on Azure Stack HCI. Note that this release is pronounced as “twenty oh-nine” in regard to this year and month, and not in reference to the year 2009. This is not in our short term roadmap for Windows Admin Center. Windows Admin Center thrives with it's ability to ship as an out of box product. We are working through many upgrades to increase performance across the product, if that is your motivation for requesting an electron app. What benefits do you see with an Electron?1.6KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Windows Admin Center Access Denied
ImNotBob Deargubel NebulousBurrito AndreasM1976 --BF-- Antonio_Filho TinklemyFinkle Thanks for reporting folks! The Windows Admin Center team is aware of this issue and are investigating right now! Will update this thread and Twitter (@servermgmt) as soon as we have a workaround or a new update available.30KViews0likes5CommentsRe: Windows Admin Center version 2009 is now generally available!
alexbal I'm sorry to hear that and we are here to help. We have designed Windows Admin Center to be very easy to use so I'm sorry you are hitting issues. Take a look at this video to see if it helps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcQj6ZklmK014KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Windows Admin Center version 2009 is now generally available!
Aayoosh It looks like you are looking at the Overview tool of a single server. In order to see performance graphs for days/weeks/months, you have to connect to the cluster itself in Windows Admin Center. On the landing page, go to Add > Cluster > Add and manage your cluster directly.14KViews0likes0CommentsNow available: Windows Admin Center version 2007
Windows Admin Center version 2007 is generally available today. In this release, we have made Windows Admin Center compatible with the new Azure Stack HCI, which required substantial updates to the cluster deployment experience and various tools across the product. Hi all, I'm so sorry that you all are facing this error. We are working to get this fixed and unfortunately, I don't have a timeline yet. However, for the short-term, here is the previous 1910 release: aka.ms/wacprevious In order to install this, you will have to uninstall 1910.2, and reinstall the previous version. Please note that you will lose your list of servers and settings when you uninstall so please keep a list.8.5KViews1like4CommentsRe: Create a Native/Desktop Windows Admin Center implementation or Open source it
Steskalj Thanks for the comment. Please take a look at Jeff Woolsey's response from the User Voice: "Issue 1: Performance. Wrapping Admin Center in Electron will not automatically make things faster. Memory usage would go up and performance would likely not benefit. In terms of React, Admin Center uses Angular and moving to React would require a substantial rewrite of all the UI code. In short, we understand there's work to do to improve performance and it's underway. Issue 2: Smart Card/Windows Hello/OAuth Token support. Yes, we are keenly aware of this request and are investigating solutions. Wrapping the app in Electron marginally eases auth in some scenarios while making critical production scenarios (Admin Center in gateway mode) far more challenging. In short, we know this feature is important and it is on the list." Thank you!1.9KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Regarding WAC(Windows Admin Center) support for react extension
Surab2090 It's technically possible but it is not a supported scenario. We don't have some sort of list that tells you what you need to do to get a react extension setup in Angular-based Windows Admin Center, and our team would be unable to assist or troubleshoot during the development process.885Views0likes0CommentsRe: Now Available: Windows Admin Center 1910.2 Insider Preview
jrauman Hi James. Currently, we do not have a dashboard that shows this information. In Admin Center's initial stages, we had this capability but many people reported security concerns with this implementation and it was removed.24KViews0likes0Comments
