Policy ShowMicrosoftRewards doesnt prevent to show up Microsoft Rewards in Menu any more
Hello together, since Beta 111 Microsoft Rewards shows up in menu of Edge even ifShowMicrosoftRewards is set to false. Its first time recognized in111.0.1661.27. Not sure if it showed up before in other 111 Versions. If a user opens the menu point a login page shows up. These kind of personal data stealing functions have to be completly removed in our company by law. Please fix this asap. Hello folks, to prevent never updated Edge instances because some of our "specialists" never close their edge and never reboot their client we use the policy "RelaunchNotification" ->Notify a user that a browser restart is recommended or required for pending updates We set it to: Required (2) = Required - Show a recurring prompt to the user indicating that a restart is required This works fine overall. But there are situations where the user never sees the prompt and gets surprised by the restart of the browser. The popup is modal and comes only with the first edge window. If the user opended several windows and the one getting the popup is a forgotten background window the user never gets the information and Edge restarts without warning. Hello, just experienced the new update of my beta Channel to 101. Something new annoying happens. A unwantend scaring scam page opens after restart. Wir haben Ihnen den aktuellen Build bereitgestellt. (microsoftedgeinsider.com) I would have expected "HideFirstRunExperience" would supress such unwanted pages also. This is a no go in many and my enterprises. All kind of communications with our users have to be under central control and following our strict enterprise communications and design guidelines. And everything has to be confirmed by a communication board. How can I supress this kind of first run websites to prevent beeing fired? Hello again, once again urgent security fixes are released with V99.0.1150.46. The same day V98.0.1108.84 - from how i call it extended unsecurity channel - was published. Once again with just no documentation about the included fixes. OurFederalOfficeforInformationSecuritywarned about the issues in Edge beforeV99.0.1150.46. But how can in be sure about to be secure with extended stable when microsoft hides all information about it? One week after V99 was published with important security fixes there is still no extended stable v98 available for download. Seems Microsoft doesnt care for enterprise security. Since the extended stable its always the same. Better you rename the channel to extended unsecure channel.Where is the extended stable V94?
Since almost 1 week V95 ist out with security fixes. Since last week i wait for a published extended stable V94 to download including this security fixes. But guess what. Since V86 its possible to Rollback the version of Edge. For this rollback in a userprofile snapshot ist saved under AppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Snapshots. Unfortunatly endless growing. I thought maybeUserDataSnapshotRetentionLimit would limit the grow and delete not any more neccessary snaphsots. unfortunatly not. How can i prevent snapshots to eat up all my available space and slow down login for roaming profiles on terminalserver. Greetings JoachimCollections get lost in Citrix Roaming Profiles
Hello together, I am facing now a problem with collections. Start of last week we rolled out finaly Edge in our Citrix Windows 2016 Farm. Unfortunatly Collections get lost after log off and logon. The files inAppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\Collections are saved with citrix profile manager in a roaming profile and writen back in local profile after login. unfortunatly after this collections are broken at all. even open a new collection is not possible any more. When you deleteAppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\Collections you can edit new collections as before. But after new login its broken again. Anybody here with citrix profile managment succesfully implemented it? Are there more files involved than just those underAppData\Local\Microsoft\Edge\User Data\Default\Collections?
