Defender for Endpoint Mixed Management Scenario
I've been trying to pilot Defender for Endpoint as we are switching from current 3rd AV provider. I've read and re-read all the docs and am still unsure if I'm getting this right Our Scenario workstations that are in ConfigMgr and are seen in MEM console as managed by ConfigMgr some workstations co managed from ConfigMgr to Intune Some workstations in Intune Only What Works: The Workstations in Intune and Comanaged appear to be straightforward - Onboarding I've turned on the Intune Connector and they more or less just register in Security.microsoft.com and if they dont just register, I push out the onboarding package in MEM console using the Windows 10,11, and Windows Server What doesn't work The question I'm left with is the ConfigMgr clients that are not comanaged in Intune One option I tried with these is I can get them to be seen as managed by MDE but ideally I dont want to do this. I turned off manage with ConfigMgr and yes they do register but these workstations show in MEM console as managed by MDE.. Is it better to co-manage these so they are in Intune and then just turn on Endpoint slider for these in Co-management? Or is it good to setup from ConfigMgr? This so far has had issues and I'm not understanding something, In the MEM console it seems to say in Endpoint Detection and Response Windows 10, 11 and Server (ConfigMgr) to onboard, so I deployed these to a Cloud Synced collection that has these devices in from mem console but it seems to do nothing, am I missing something here? Can you have a mixed environment like this? it seems to say in the docs you can, but I'm not really understanding what this does Windows 10, 11, Windows Server (ConfigMgr) the MDM one works the ConfigMgr one doesnt seem to do anything I've deployed it to a cloud-synced collection from SCCM but the devices dont show in security.microsoft.com So below this ConfigMgr one seems to do nothing1.1KViews0likes1CommentOutlook iOS Preview notification
Not sure if this belongs here or the Outlook Forum Recently we have found iOS devices on iOS 15.5 Latest version of Outlook Basic Intune app protection policy (noticed it happens more with users who have Apple watch) If user sends out a meeting invite -- when the other users rsvp's, the notification is sent back that the other user has accepted However if you havent got outlook open or are on the lock screen you get the dreaded OPEN OUTLOOK TO READ YOUR MESSAGE 100% all notify and preview settings are turned on to all I've tried all suggested turning all the notifications and preview tabs for both the phone and Outlook and teams to Never notify then switch them all back on after a reboot. Tried reinstall of outlook and teams This seems to be an issue that has rumbled around on iOS since 14 in various different ways examples https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook_com/forum/all/open-outlook-to-read-your-message-outlook-mobile/d7b5fa75-1ecd-4049-ab5f-0901f9cd9a5f Any suggestion will this likely be fixed in a later outlook release?2.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Possible bug found with App Protection and Teams
Thanks so much for testing this Oktay, so weird I could not get it to do this for 2 days and have registered several times since. Then today I was actually removing MAM and opened Teams and got the spinning Encrypting your data. I have contacted MS last week who are looking into it. wish I knew if Intune was doing this or Teams itself8.3KViews0likes0CommentsPossible bug found with App Protection and Teams
In the last 2 weeks started seeing this, and have tested in 2 tenants and both doing the same. Only happens on Registering / App Protection Policy applying. The Encrypting Teams message just doesnt go away and only way to get around it is quit teams and reopen. You can wait 30 mins / an hour it doesnt ever complete Wondering if Encryption is actually applying and or if its just a bug with latest Teams Happens when a APP is applied to Teams and only on Android8.8KViews0likes7Comments
