According to Zac Bowden (senior editor at Windows Central and who was in contact with some of the Edge developers in Microsoft ignite 2019), "Collections" will be present in the stable version that will be released in January, let's wait to see...Has Microsoft explained the reason why "Collections" is not available in the Beta version ("RC")?
For those who still don't know, "Collections" can't be enabled in the Beta version ("Release Candidate"), the flag to enable this feature doesn't appear in that channel. Will it be possible for Microsoft to release the stable version in January without that feature? Another explanation could be that Microsoft will add that feature later to the Beta channel, that means that, technically, when installing the current Beta version ("Release Candidate"), we are not testing the "real" stable version that will be released in January, since it still lacks important features that Microsoft will add later, I mean, "Collections" is a big and important feature. josh_bodner Interesting, I just noticed that, in version 79.0.309.7, Microsoft added the "Force Dark Mode for Web Contents" flag to the Dev channel: In the previous version (79.0.309.5), the flag doesn't appear: In Canary, Microsoft added that flag only until version 80.0.317.1. I wonder if, after the success and the good reception that the flag had on the Canary channel, Microsoft decided to release that small update on the Dev channel just to add that flag.Re: "Tab Hover Card Images" Flag is Missing in Microsoft Edge (Canary).
Jacques Van de Meerssche Don't know the difference between Enabled, Enabled B, Enabled C yet. I remember that when these options appeared in Chrome Canary 8 months ago, I talked about the difference between each of them on Reddit and in other forums. The difference between Enabled, Enabled B and Enabled C is the time it takes for the card to appear after hover the pointer over the tab, the difference is small but it's noticeable. This is one of the gifs that I created at that time: It's the same in the new Edge.The "Native UI Automation" flag causes the browser to crash (Edge Canary).
A few days ago several users reported that Edge Canary crashed after being open for a few minutes, after that, Microsoft fixed this bug in version 80.0.317.1, but in other forums some users reported that they still had browser crashes, I also had those crashes from time to time, so I thought maybe one of the flags was the cause of that and, indeed, the culprit of the crashes was this flag: After disabling the flag, the crashes disappear. If so, I don't have that problem, in my case, the browser is crashing when I open a link or an image in a new tab and then try to close them.Re: The InPrivate and Guest indicators are rounded (again) in Edge Canary (79.0.307.0).
Elliot Kirk I agree with other opinions in this community, most of the interface is square so that indicator should also be square, as I say in the post, the indicator should continue to show the number of open windows and be rectangular again. We have made the InPrivate icon oval to match the Profile Icon, which is also round. The round profile icon is not displayed in the InPrivate windows.The InPrivate and Guest indicators are rounded (again) in Edge Canary (79.0.307.0).
Apparently this "bug" is caused by a new feature that Microsoft has added to the InPrivate indicator, now that indicator shows the number of InPrivate windows open: This is a feature that has been available in Chrome for quite some time.
