Feedback for tabs size
I think the width of vertical tabs are too small. While previous experimental touch friendly might be too big for mouse usage, I kind of like it. Keeping the same width of horizontal tabs for vertical tabs might not be the most best user experience design, as it is kind of small for mouse click. I think the current width works for horizontal tabs due to horizontal tabs being long by default thus easier to click on. I suggest increasing the width of vertical tabs by 1 to 2 pixels may provide easier selection and some comfort. By the way, please implement minimum length for horizontal tabs such that the tab icon and close button can be seen at the same time similar to how Firefox implement. Using Microsoft Edge Version 119.0.2116.0 (Official build) dev (64-bit) P. S. Please also implement close tabs to the left and close tabs above. Also align the tab actions menu with the favourite bar.I started to feel like discussion being ignored
I know that discussion forum has been declined with users since some time ago. Recently I rarely see a community representative respond to any feedback by anyone other than software breaking bugs. I have raised some issue I have with Edge here regrading some productivity features lost not sure due to bug or deliberately being disabled by developers. I am worried about the future development of Microsoft Edge and maybe one day I might switch to other browser if the features are continuing to be lost.Re: In vertical tab, the area after the separator can't be drag and drop anymore
This is the area I meant. And this is the function I meant. As you can see in the screenshot above you can't drag and drop in the latest version of Dev and Canary. In vertical tab, the area after the separator which includes new tab button can't be drag and drop anymore. I have no idea why that is disabled in both dev and canary as they are very useful for productivity. Not to mention that in horizontal tab, the function still there. I had made some feedback about this for a while now but haven't seen any change to canary yet.Re: Dev Channel update to 111.0.1660.6 is live
Eric_E I agreed with the other replies that there are a lot of wasted space in the new UI design. Those few pixels that border almost all elements when add up together make the actual web page content quite small compared to previous versions. Not to mention that the new profile icon location is quite unintuitive. The discover icon/button is very annoying and quite distracting for productivity.
