It started loading again after a few weeks. According to MS support they found an issue on the backend and it was fixed (apparently many customers reported the issue). But it used to show something on Secure Score page for tenants with just Standard licenses. And it still loads such data in Graph. Thanks for the explanation about the paint performance. I don't know what is happening behind the scenes, but it feels like it is not in the paint phase yet. At least on mobile there is a progress bar of a site loading in Chrome (blue line filling up from left to right). This line doesn't appear for 15-20+ seconds and it is just a blank browser window. Btw, i do not use internal RSS view, when i press the link it always loads the article in external browser. When i go to to Feedly directly occasionally it seems that text is loading instantly for the articles there. It is a weird delay. As if browser is waiting for something before even loading and rendering the page. When it does start to load the page, rendering is pretty fast. For the text and inline images. Hero images (the big images at the top) do take a few more seconds to load. Marking as not resolved again. Today i have used graph explorer to query one client's secure score data and it returned a massive json with all the points and data. It is only the UI that is acting up. Sometimes after being stuck in loading state for a long time it throws error code 400. I have a follow-up question. Today a member of our M365 team said that for clients with Standard license they were still able to go to Exposure > Secure score page and get some recommendations ar least. But for a week or so this page is not loading for such tenants. Has Microsoft changed how this page works recently? The problem is that it is stuck in loading state, doesn't show a message that you are not eligible, so it looks more like a bug.205Views0likes0CommentsRe: Long wait for initial load of this site
I don't think it is my browser or internet connection as this happens on multiple devices (mobile and desktop) and networks. Super annoying having to wait for so long to just read the article or comment, coupled with constant sign ins and no comment content in email notifications it makes me go here less and less. My teammate says that even Basic or Standard M365 license provides Secure Score. Which is kind of right as you can see a basic score when opening a tenant in Lighthouse. But if you try to go to Defender console and then Exposure menu and press on Secure Score, it won't load with just Standard/Basic licenses assigned to users. I have tried to find a definitive list, but i can't. Copilot said you need at least Premium Business or E3/E5 or Defender P1. Which seems to make sense. But i need a confirmation. And also why do i see some score on tenant's page in Lighthouse?SolvedLong wait for initial load of this site
There are numerous topics about slowness of this site going back for years (before recent update, which was already so long ago). But what i am experiencing for the past few months is something different. Every time i come to this site first time and say click a link in RSS feed for one of the blog articles i have to wait up to a minute for it to start loading anything (it shows an empty page and loading animation in the browser). After that it would be loading pages quick (well, normal speed for this site, which is still sluggish). But if i do not browse here for 30 min or longer then again first load will be annoyingly long. Well, i do something get response from MS when i comment on blog posts and once even had a private discussion with i think Outlook product manager (just a few comments back and forth). It was years ago, this person is not in Outlook team anymore, i think. Once someone from OneNote team contacted me about testing new version and gathering feedback, but after a few messages ghosted me :) Sometimes you can get a glimpse of an idea you can actually talk to someone there. But most of the time it's just barking at the moon. But hey, at least there is something. I for sure have no clue how to get a hold of anyone from Google :D Well, maybe if you have a contract with them, but not like this in a public space. Btw, there is another thing you haven't listed. I've never had my comment removed to my knowledge and i don't think there is an approval process as i often see spam comments. I don't think it was ever on a level of MSDN forums. I am only reading blogs for news. Haven't participated in other discussions (other than here about community) in years. Mainly because it is so awfully slow. There were no release notes/updates posts for 6+ months. Performance of this site is just getting worse. I wonder if there is anyone still working on this. It is a lottery whether this site will load or error our on you with Internal Server error. Even when it loads it takes 15 seconds or so sitting on blank page before it even starts to load (both desktop and mobile). But not always. It is like your first connection after a while goes through some process and then it is a bit snappier. Quality of life changes would also be nice like adding back comment content to email notifications. Because site notifications are bad, often reset and show everything as new. Also, clicking on notification should take you to comment, not to top of the article and having you to scroll all the way down (such a pain on mobile).597Views1like10CommentsRe: All notifications on mobile show as new
This is still happening and not just on mobile. Just now all notifications were shown as new on desktop. I think this is a part of a problem this site cannot remember logins and you relogin every day. Everything after last big update on this site is just one big mess.68Views0likes0Comments
