Extension settings window is too small !
I have received the update for Edge Beta Version 79.0.309.12 (Official build) beta (64-bit). I have noticed an issue with the settings for extensions. When we click on settings under : Settings > Extensions > Details (for extension) > Extension options. Some of the extensions use little popup window to show settings and I have noticed this issue on few extensions. See the picture attached for example. 1. The window is too small, we get scroll bar to scroll horizontal and vertical. 2. Also the main window gets scrollbar as well. 3. Close button is also not aligned properly. If extension is having its dedicated web page for settings, there are no such issues.Re: Add table of contents / bookmarks / document outline in PDF viewer
Just a bump to see if there is any update to this request. I hope any of the Microsoft team members are noticing this request and reply! As bookmarks are more important for me to go through a lot of PDF documents every day, I stopped using the default pdf viewer in Edge. I am using another extension instead. This way I don't have to open any external pdf document, I can avoid downloading the pdf files as well along with deleting them from disk after use. From settings I have turned on the option "Always open PDF files externally". Installed chrome extension : https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/pdf-viewer/oemmndcbldboiebfnladdacbdfmadadm Configured settings for the extension : "Sidebar state on load : Show document oultine in sidebar" It works like charm and has all the required features. nikitat1260 Thanks for confirming this. I would ensure that I won't install it on any of my live systems. May be I will try it on VM. I have also noticed one more trend on this issue. When I lock my computer and then unlock next time with the browser open on my system, this message appears every single time as soon as I log in. Same scenario goes with putting the system in sleep mode and then wake up and log in again, it gives error message every single time. HotCakeX No its not security vulnerability as the favicon is supposed to work that way. Try this link in Google Chrome and Edge C both. https://codepen.io/pl47er/pen/YzKbBGZ Click on the link and it will open browser window, the favicon should be displayed in the titlebar and in the taskbar of Windows. It is working fine now with Google Chrome Version 77.0.3865.90 (Official Build) (64-bit) on my machine. HotCakeX No, I am not talking about PWA. I am talking about any website that is configured to open contents in popup Window, it should display favicon in the popup Window title bar and also in taskbar. So, My beta version got update to 78.0.276.8 and I have noticed few issues. One of the issues is, its missing favicon now in any popup Window or in taskbar. See the pictures attached. Elliot Kirk My Beta channel received first update today and updated to Version 78.0.276.8 (Official build) beta (64-bit). This issue was not there before this major update but as soon as I restarted the browser after this major update, this issue started appearing. I am also on my work network using Windows 10 x64. I have noticed this issue first time when I have installed the very first release of Beta channel (77.0.235.9) when it was released but then it was resolved for some minor update to Beta channel. HotCakeX Just came across this extension available on Chromium webstore which is based on pdf.js used in Mozilla Firefox. What are the chances of porting the extension into Edge Chromium and then probably changing the interface to match the current Edge PDF viewer. I would like to see a feature in PDF reader. Currently there is no such option available in the PDF viewer in Edge Chromium. Such option was available in old Edge browser but the best example would be in Mozilla Firefox. See the picture attached. With long PDF documents, it is useful to browser around with the table of content visible on the left hand side all the time. It is kind of work that I do, I have to go through a lot of PDF documents and most of them are online and so opening directly in the browser is much quicker and easy. Because of this missing functionality in Edge Chromium, I have to use Mozilla Firefox for that particular website. Please consider adding this feature as soon as possible.
