This Sweepstakes is intended for viewing and participation in the fifty (50) United States and Washington D.C. only and shall be construed and evaluated according to the laws of the fifty (50) United States and Washington D.C. Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. 3. How to ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. You must have or download the Microsoft Edge browser to participate. Microsoft Edge is pre-installed on Windows 10 operating systems and is free to download. To download Microsoft Edge for free, visit https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge. In order to obtain one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes draw for the applicable Entry Period (“Entry”), you must complete two (2) steps: a) Using the Microsoft Edge browser, log-in to the Microsoft Edge Add-ons site at https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/addons/Microsoft-Edge-Extensions-Home?hl=en-US with your Microsoft Account, and install (or have already installed during the Sweepstakes Period) at least one (1) new add-on extension from the Microsoft Edge Add-ons site, onto your Microsoft Edge browser on your desktop; and b) Visit https://installtowinsweepstakes.icgroup.co and complete the online registration form by providing your complete and accurate contact information (first name, last name, the Microsoft Account email address you use to download extension(s) from the Microsoft Edge Add-ons page, and the email address you would like us to use to contact you in the event you are a potential winner of a prize), as well as confirming your age and that you have read and accept these Official Rules. For clarity, entrants will not receive an Entry for re-installations of previously downloaded add-on extensions. You may complete the registration form either before or after the download and installation of a Microsoft Edge add-on, but both steps must be completed in order to be eligible to win a prize. Limit: There is a maximum of one (1) Entry per person/email address/Account during the Sweepstakes Period. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address or Microsoft Account. Any attempt by any entrant to use multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, Microsoft Accounts, or any other methods in an attempt to defraud the entry process or gain additional entries will void that entrant's entries and entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of disqualification, any prize that entrant might have been otherwise entitled to will not be awarded. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, the entry will be deemed to have been made by the Authorized Account Holder of the email address submitted with the Account registration. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access or online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the registered email address. Each entrant may be required to show proof of being an Authorized Account Holder. If you do not have Internet access via a personal computer, your local library or Internet café may be able to provide access to the Internet and a number of Internet service providers and other companies offer free email accounts. 4. RANDOM SWEEPSTAKES DRAW: At approximately 2:00 PM PT on each of the Draw Dates listed in Rule #1, above, an independent judging organization (the “Sweepstakes Judges”) will randomly draw one (1) Entry for each of the available Sweepstakes Prizes for the applicable Entry Period (as described in Rule #5, below) from among all eligible Entries received for the applicable Entry Period (each a “Potential Prize Winner” and, if verified, “Prize Winner”). The odds of winning a prize depend on the total number of eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period for the applicable Entry Period. Potential Prize Winners will be subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. Limit: There is a maximum of one (1) Prize per person/email address/Account during the Sweepstakes Period. Non-Winning Entries in the draw for one Entry Period will carry over into the draw for subsequent Entry Period(s). 5. SWEEPSTAKES PRIZES: The following Prizes will be awarded per Prize Period: a) First Prizes (Two (2) per Entry Period): one (1) USD $400.00 Microsoft Store Gift Card* which winner may (but is not required to) use towards a Microsoft Surface Go 2. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): USD $400.00 each. b) Second Prizes (Five (5) per Entry Period): one (1) USD $250.00 Microsoft Store Gift Card* which winner may (but is not required to) use towards a set of Microsoft Surface Headphones 2. ARV: USD $250.00 each. c) Third Prizes (Five hundred (500) per Entry Period): one (1) USD $10.00 Microsoft Store Gift Card*. ARV: USD $10.00 each. *Acceptance and use of the gift card prize is subject to the winner accepting the Terms and Conditions that apply to the gift card which may be found here: www.microsoft.com/cardterms. Gift cards may be subject to expiry dates (which will be communicated with the delivery of the prize code), if not added to your Microsoft account. Promotional gift card. Spend within ninety (90) days of deposit. Total ARV of all Sweepstakes Prizes available to be won: USD $28,200.00. Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded, with no substitutions of any kind, except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value, at its sole discretion. All federal, state and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes), if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified herein as being provided are the Winner’s responsibility, regardless of whether a prize is used in whole or in part. All prize details are at the Sponsor's sole discretion. 6. HOW TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE: Potential Winners will be contacted at the email address provided at registration with instructions on how to claim their prize. Prize must be claimed from the online Sweepstakes claim site within seven (7) calendar days of the initial prize claim email (no later than the time and date indicated in the prize claim email), or the prize will be forfeited and, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. Potential Winners (and/or their parent or legal guardian if winner is at least eighteen (18) years of age but considered a minor in their jurisdiction of residence) may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and, where lawful, a publicity release, within five (5) business days from the time it is postmarked as having been sent by the Sponsor or its representative, or the prize will be forfeited and, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. If a Potential Winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, declines to accept the prize, or Sponsor is unable to contact a Potential Winner, or in the event that a prize notification or prize is returned undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited and, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, prize may be awarded to an alternate Potential Winner. Sponsor may select up to three (3) alternate prize winners for each prize; thereafter, if a potential prize winner cannot be verified in accordance with these Official Rules, the prize will not be awarded. If a prize is won by an entrant who is at least eighteen (18) years of age but considered a minor in their jurisdiction of residence, prize will be awarded to a parent or legal guardian of such minor who must sign and return all required documentation outlined herein and otherwise comply with all requirements imposed on winners set forth herein. Potential Winners (or parent/legal guardian where applicable) may be required to furnish proof of identification. Allow between four (4) to six (6) weeks for verification and shipment of your prize. The Sweepstakes Entities shall not be held responsible for any delays in awarding a prize for any reason outside of their control. Prizes will only be delivered to verified Winners. Any unclaimed prizes will not be awarded. The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for any change of mailing address, email address, and/or telephone number of entrants. By accepting a prize, each Winner (or Winner’s parent/legal guardian if Winner is an eligible minor) agrees and consents to the use of his/her name, address (city and state of residence), voice, and statements relating to the Sweepstakes or Sponsor, and photographs or other likenesses, without further compensation, notification or permission in any publicity or advertising carried out by Sponsor or any related entities in any and all media now known or hereinafter developed, including the internet, without territorial or time limitation, except where prohibited by law. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: 7. By entering, entrants (or as applicable, their parents or legal guardians if eligible minors): (a) acknowledge and represent that they are in full compliance with these Official Rules including all eligibility requirements and, (b) agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and/or Sweepstakes Judges, made in their sole discretion, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Entrants who have not complied with these Official Rules are subject to disqualification and all associated entries will be void. 8. The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, stolen, misdirected, mutilated, garbled, illegible, or incomplete submissions of requests/entries. Proof of transmission (screenshots or captures, etc.) does not constitute proof of delivery. All entries become the property of Sponsor and in no case shall be returned to sender. 9. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entrant's registration in the Sweepstakes (and void all associated entries) or entitlement to a prize if, in the sole discretion of the Sponsor, it determines or suspects that the entrant has attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by tampering, cheating, hacking, deception, or other fraudulent, deceptive or unfair playing practices (including any entries generated by script, macro, robotic, programmed, or any other automated means or any other means which subvert the entry process). 10. As a condition of entering, entrants (or their parent or legal guardian if an eligible minor) agree (and agree to confirm in writing): a) To release Sponsor and Sweepstakes Entities and each of their officers, directors, employees and agents, from any and all liability, loss or damage incurred with respect to participating in the Sweepstakes, or the awarding, receipt, possession, and/or use or misuse of any prize or any travel or activity related thereto; b) That under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, consequential, or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses; c) All causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and d) Any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, and in no event will entrants be entitled to receive attorneys’ fees and court costs. 11. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Sweepstakes Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Washington, U.S.A., without regard to Washington or any other conflicts of law principles. All entrants consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal, state, and local courts for Redmond, Washington. 12. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, modify and/or suspend this Sweepstakes at any time if fraud, technical failures (including any network server or hardware failure), viruses, bugs, errors in programming, or any other errors or other causes (such as force majeure events) impairs the administration, security, integrity or proper play of the Sweepstakes. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to randomly select the Winners from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received up to time of such cancellation. In no event will the Sponsor be liable for more than the stated prizes available in these Official Rules. 13. The Sweepstakes Entities do not warrant that access to the Sweepstakes will be uninterrupted. The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for any problems that may arise, including but not limited to: a) Lost, interrupted, inaccessible or unavailable networks, servers, satellites, Internet Service Providers, websites, or other connection, availability or accessibility problems arising in connection with or over the course of the Sweepstakes; b) Communications failed, jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected computer, telephone or cable transmissions or hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; or c) Failure of personal computers and/or software and hardware configurations, any technical malfunctions, failures, or difficulties, printing errors, clerical, typographical or other error in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries, or the offering or announcement of any prize or in any winner notification documents; or d) For any other errors of any kind relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, whether human, mechanical, clerical, electronic, or technical in nature; or e) The incorrect or inaccurate capture of information, or the failure to capture any information in connection with the Sweepstakes; or f) Damage to a user's system occasioned by participation in this Sweepstakes or downloading any information necessary to participate in this Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes Entities are also not responsible for lost, late, delayed, garbled, stolen, incomplete, misdirected, illegible, damaged or undelivered mail, email, or entries. Proof of transmission (screenshots, etc.) does not constitute proof of delivery. DISCLOSURES: 14. Any attempt by an entrant or other individual, to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this Sweepstakes, including but not limited to any fraudulent claims, may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages (including attorneys' fees) from any such individual, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution. Entrants engaging in any of the foregoing activities may be disqualified (and all associated entries will be void) and will forfeit any prize(s) won. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. 15. In the event of any conflict with any Sweepstakes details contained in these Official Rules and Sweepstakes details contained in Sweepstakes Materials (including but not limited to point of sale, television, and print advertising, promotional packaging, and other promotion media), the details of the Sweepstakes as set forth in these Official Rules shall prevail. 16. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. In particular, Sponsor's employees are not authorized to waive, modify or amend any provision or provisions of these Official Rules in any manner whatsoever. 17. Hello Extension Developer community, We at Microsoft Edge Team understand that developers want ways and methods to promote their extensions to increase visibility of their extensions on the store. The Microsoft Edge-Addons website homepage is a great source of information for the users looking for extensions. Our data shows that 25% of sessions on Microsoft Edge add-ons start from the home page. Thus, making it one of the best places for consumers to discover extensions and for developers to showcase their extensions. Apart from displaying the top extensions for each categories, we have several collections on the home page such as Editor’s Picks, Most Popular, Trending, Work from home tools and so on. While some of these are curated using our AI/ML models others are updated manually in line with the ongoing trends and user needs. To further enhance the website, we have added a carousel on the store home page creating one more asset for showcasing extensions. To help consumers make a quick decision about the extension, without going to the detail page, key information such as ratings, short description and developer details are prominently displayed. How to get your extension featured on the Microsoft Edge Add-ons home page? If you would like your extension to be added to a particular collection (or if you want to recommend a new collection that fits your extension), kindly submit a request using this form. Note that all requests submitted via this form are automatically considered for the carousel and the Editor’s picks. There is a review process that looks at a variety of factors, such as utility of the experience, customer reviews and any unique features for Microsoft Edge, to determine if the extension qualifies for consideration into the editorial section. There are many extensions that qualify, but space is limited. To accommodate promoting all the high-quality extensions, the editorial section is updated on a regular basis. We review the requests every 15 days so please wait and do not submit multiple requests for the same extension. You must make sure that your extension has a large promotional tile in its listing with size 1400x560 px for it to be featured in the carousel. Drop down with important links for developers Developers can now find key documentation for extensions on the store front with the help of a new menu item exclusively for developer resources. Now there is a way to prevent users from installing extensions from 3rd party store - including Chrome Web Store. You can use the ExtensionSettings policy for this. To block extensions from a particular third party store, you only need to block the update_url for that store. Hello Insider Community, We are always working towards improving the Partner Center submission experience. We are happy to announce we have made several improvements to the Partner Center that will make the process easier for extension developers. Localize the store listing when you are ready Basis the feedback from the developer community, we are introducing two new features to make the localization process simpler to publish extensions across markets. Developers can choose a subset of languages instead of manually entering each language in the listing details. By default, all the languages added to the package will be shown but the user can choose to keep only the default language and proceed. Ability to use same marketing assets across all markets. A new option is provided to duplicate or copy the assets of one language across other languages. Check out the step-by-step guide for publishing extensions to Edge add-ons store: Publish your extension - Microsoft Edge Development | Microsoft Docs Developers can access the extension review report on Partner center New extensions or updates submitted to Microsoft Edge Add-ons store through Partner center are reviewed to ensure that they follow the add-ons store guidelines and policies. Once the extension review process is complete, the review report capturing the success or failure details is communicated with the extension developer over an email. Going forward developers can access the review report directly from the partner center after they log-in. A report will be included in the extension overview page which will include submission status. If the extension did not pass certification, information will be provided on recommended updates and the reasons for failure.
