Re: Windows 365 disconnects on lock, possible to change timeout?
jpope76 , CM42 , Joachim500 , Mark_Albin - Hi folks! Actually, to prevent the Remote Desktop session from disconnecting without input, apply the following configuration (through Settings Catalog): Path: Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Session Time Limits Setting: Set time limit for active but idle Remote Desktop Services sessions The easy search term is active but idle. You then have options for what to configure it to, and you can apply it to the user or the device. Please let me know if this works for you!6.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: New 365 environment, VM provisioned but cannot connect - Error 200 failed to fetch the subscription
AranKaspar1 - Thanks for your patience. If you're still hitting this error, I'd recommend reaching out to support for us to diagnose this issue, as this is indicating something is wrong somewhere in the system.2.5KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Windows 365 GPU
Technophobia SThomas40 Frank1790 - Thanks for checking in. Unfortunately, we're still working on this and don't have a commitment on when we may introduce this into the service. In the meantime, I'd suggest piloting the workload on Azure Virtual Desktop to see if that meets your needs, as Windows 365 leverages the same connectivity platform and would provide a similar experience at the point in time that GPU is offered in Windows 365. Thanks for your patience here folks, I recognize that this is a huge use case.14KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Conditional Access for Windows 365
techiegz - We also have an example of creating a Conditional Access policy to require that users access a specific AAD-based application from within their Cloud PC (in this case, Restrict Office 365 services to Cloud PCs), using the Filters control (currently in preview) in Azure AD Conditional Access. Let me know if those help!6.9KViews0likes1CommentRe: Windows 365 Cloud PC Configuration Profiles and Policies
oryxway - If you're trying to separate the policies that apply to Cloud PCs from policies that apply to other enrolled Windows devices, we have specific guidance on how to target Cloud PCs with a filter or with a dynamic group. Mostly, the device fields that are unique for Cloud PCs are: Device model Enrollment profile name4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Camera redirection on Android
kevinm58 - Thanks for the patience, this must have slipped through the cracks. I know that we initially had our own table, but we made a change to link over to Azure Virtual Desktop's client feature matrix - https://docs.microsoft.com/windows-server/remote/remote-desktop-services/clients/remote-desktop-app-compare . Currently, the AVD client on Android doesn't support camera redirection.1.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: Prevent file transfer out of Windows 365
Sam Uresin - Thanks for the patience, this must have slipped through. Correct, it's very simple to do through Windows 365 Enterprise, since the offering requires management through Microsoft Endpoint Manager. Here's the documentation for doing that - https://docs.microsoft.com/windows-365/enterprise/manage-rdp-device-redirections . With that being said, if you are able to push policies to the Windows 365 Business Cloud PCs, then you would just target the same settings.4.6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Contrast Themes Can not see buttons they become invisible on various sites
jlitz88 - Thanks for taking the time to post! Is this happening on any instance of Windows, or specifically on your Cloud PC? My initial thought is there's not much we can do to fix this as part of our Windows 365 offering.1.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Windows 385 Cloud PC: Unable to access from Remote Desktop (Windows Laptop)
Tusar369 : Thanks for your patience. Did you get the issue resolved or contact support? We also have some documentation on Troubleshooting connection errors. I'm happy to follow-up to see how we can get your issue resolved.4.9KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Easiest way to send SMS text message from Windows 365
dbaechtel - Thanks for the post, but I'm unsure the question you're asking. Are you asking for the ability to send a text message from a Windows 365 Cloud PC? If so, then this doesn't seem like something we can address and is more of a Windows feature, since Cloud PCs are Windows 10/11 Enterprise but hosted securely in the cloud.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Windows 365 Changing Edition - Data Migration
RyanBHernandez - Thanks for the patience. You shouldn't see any migration challenges when you perform a Resize operation, since that maintains your VM (and only shuts it down temporarily while completing the action). However, as you're hinting at, we don't currently have a migration path between Windows 365 Enterprise and Windows 365 Business. A few questions: Which direction are you wanting to go? Business to Enterprise? or Enterprise to Business? In either "migrating from" product, where would you plan to see this option to move it over? Looking forward to your feedback!610Views1like0CommentsRe: Cloud PC "Add App" - for 3PP Apps like AutoCAD, how to add & purchase license
Nokoyashi - In this case, a Windows 365 Cloud PC acts like a standard Windows 10/11 Enterprise device. Typically, we'll see customers deploy the application through Intune, in which case it will need to be licensed correctly if the app checks for that. Can you confirm where you're seeing "Add app"? Is this in Microsoft Endpoint Manager?995Views0likes0CommentsRe: Azure AD Join, Azure File Share & Windows 365
kai_osthoff - Thanks for the patience. Unfortunately, digging through the Azure Files documentation, it's somewhat limited. The only way that you'd be able to do that is through is with Hybrid identities (Windows Server) Active Directory + Azure Active Directory. In this scenario, your Cloud PC would have to be Hybrid Azure AD Joined, not Azure AD Joined. My understanding is that Azure Files is working to enable your scenario where it's Azure AD Join devices only, but I don't have any timelines.1.9KViews0likes0Comments
