Support Needed: Form Web Part Starts with Wrong Question
Dear All, My colleague, Julia, had warned me that, she couldn't start from the first question on our Forms. As you would see from the attached, whenever she opens the SharePoint site, she faces with Question number 35!! Whenever I open it, I see it normally, my Forms starts with the first question as you would also see attached. We deleted cookies, browser history. We tried different browsers. Also we have asked another colleague to check, he has the same problem, he sees the Question Number 35. As this tool is the frond end of a customer solution, any kind of advise or support would be highly appreciated. Looking forward to hearing from anyone of you! Hello All, It seems, it is working for now. But it leaves a bitter taste as I don't know what happened in the first place or how it got solved now. It is very disappointing to see any support or explanation from neither Forms nor SharePoint (I also post a similar post there) team and just wait until it magically solves. I hope for a better communication in the future. I wish you all a great weekend. Best Regards, Yigit4.6KViews0likes3CommentsForms Web Part Begins with Wrong Question
Dear All, I do have a very odd situation that I couldn't find any explanation. I do have a Forms and using Forms Web part to mirror it on my SharePoint site. But since Thursday, Web Part shows the wrong question as starting question for some users. If I check it, I sometimes have it correctly but sometimes with the wrong question. My colleague, Julia, has only the wrong question. You may see them attached. Whenever we use the Forms link, to land on the mentioned Forms page, all works perfectly. Somehow, Web Part "confuses" which question to start with. We deleted cookies, browser history. We tried different browsers. Also we have asked another colleague to check, he has the same problem, he sees the wrong question as first question. I have posted this problem to Microsoft Forms Community, but couldn't get anything. But from my understanding, it is more of a SharePoint topic than a Forms topic. Therefore, I am looking forward and also hoping to find some answers here. Any kind of help, idea, recommendation, trick, hint, guidance would be appreciated. We have promoted our solution as "SharePoint" based solution, so I can't go back and put a Forms link there, I need to find a way to make this Web Part work. Thank you in advance for your time and attention. Have a good start to the week! Best Regards, Yigit Yürüker1.4KViews0likes1CommentRe: Starting in the middle of Form
Hello Travis Herman, Sorry to hear that! I am suffering from the same problem as well, it is very frustrating and I couldn't get an answer by now. You can see my post from here; https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-forms/support-needed-form-web-part-starts-with-wrong-question/m-p/1511904 If you would come across with a solution, please let me know! Have a good start to the week. Best Regards, Yigit4KViews0likes1CommentRe: Support Needed: Form Web Part Starts with Wrong Question
Dear All, Thank you for your messages and ideas. As we promoted our solution as "Single Location for All", it is not applicable for me to present our customer another link or location to submit their answers. Unfortunately, I have to make the SharePoint Web Part work. Can you please help? Dear Norman Young, I am afraid she is not shown there as well sir. That is I believe there is a malfunction with the permits of the site. Also, as I can't see her anywhere, I can't delete her access rights to the confidential folder as well. So I am still looking for a solution, worst case would be relocating documents and deleting the folder. But that wouldn't solve the problem, just save the day. Thank you for your support and efforts so far! It is great to see efforts of this beautiful community. If you would have any more tips / solution ideas, I will be happy to hear. Have a great day and remain with, Best Regards, Yigit Yürüker1.5KViews1like1CommentRe: User Broke the Access Rights to Confidential Documents
Dear Kelly_Edinger, Thank you for your message. I am afraid that it was not the case, as we are agreed on not giving anyone Contribute rights! Also, I thought it should have shown her name on the Permissions screen but I don't even see her. So, actually, I don't even know how I can kick her out of this folder! I am very confused right now and checking all my folders for the same bug.1.6KViews0likes3CommentsRe: User Broke the Access Rights to Confidential Documents
Dear Norman Young Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, Unique Permissions were in place. So, everything seemed normal. I've realized this mistake only by chance. You may see the permissions page attached. Do you have any idea, why this have happened? I need to fix this as soon as possible, we have started to use this site to store our confidential documents already. Dear All, A user has managed to receive access rights to a confidential folder inside a library. She has (and still does) Edit rights for the library where confidential folder was located. But neither she nor the user group she is a member of have access rights to the confidential folder. But as you may also see from the attached, this specific user now has Contribute rights to this folder. I can't even see how she get those rights? Do you know why did this happen and how can I solve this? More importantly, how can I prevent this to happen ever again in the future? This is a very serious leak and created an internal governance investigation around the organization. Any help would be appreciated. Looking forward to hearing from you. Have a good start to the week. Best Regards, Yigit Yürüker1.7KViews0likes8CommentsMoving Folders - One or More Errors Occured
Dear All, Here I am with another SharePoint failure. I can't move folders between two SharePoint sites. I am the Site Owner for both sites and the destination site is completely empty. Does anyone of you know the reason for this? All I get is an error saying: "One or More Errors Occurred". Well, I really don't know how to handle such an exhaustive explanation! Anyhow, it would be great if I can get some help here. I am trying to release this SharePoint site and I was expecting to have a smooth transition but not a chaotic drama. But now I am under time pressure. Any kind of help would be appreciated. Have a nice weekend when it comes. Dear Per_Kristian_Hagen Unfortunately there is not updates nor I still couldn't find any solution. All I can do is; Site Contents - Open in new Tab - Copy Link - Paste Link. I keep spending extra time stupidly just a complete a task that used to be available. Pure disappointment. At this point, I can only wish you and your team the patience. I hope a solution will come soon. All the best, Yigit2KViews0likes1CommentRe: Quick Links - Library Connection not working
Hello jcgonzalezmartin , Thank you for the explanation. I found it very difficult to understand how updating works in SharePoint, they seem to remove most of the nice features we have in order to introduce new things every single time. It is very disappointing. Anyhow, I wish you a good start to the week and thank you once again for the explanation. Dear All, Previously, I was using Quick Links Web Part to connect my libraries to my pages. While I was connecting them, I had the chance to connect more than 1 library with multiple selection. Since last Wednesday, I can't select those libraries anymore. You may see my screen below. Whenever I come on top of those libraries, only option I have is to open the library. Unfortunately, I need the link to library itself. Does anyone know how to solve this? I've wasted hours on this already and couldn't come up with any solution on internet... Did they change the way Quick Links Web Part works? (I've tried 3 different laptops and 2 different accounts, still failed) Thanks in advance for your attention.2.3KViews0likes7CommentsPermission to see folders but not files inside the library
Hello Everyone, I have a SharePoint library where I have different folders inside with that contains confidential files. I want my colleagues to be able to see the folders but not the files inside. To reach those files, require a Manager - Approved access request. So the "dream"solution would be; whenever they arrive at my library, they will be seeing the folders (only the names of the folders) and once they opened those folders, they will reach to "Request Access" page. (At another post, I've found out that reaching to a "Request Access" page is not something SharePoint is capable of but still, it would be the dream solution). Which permission level would let them see the folder names but not the files inside? Is there any solution scenario? Any help would be appreciated!
