Re: Introducing Microsoft Edge Secure Network
I'm a Windows Insider. I've never seen Secure Network in my Canary. I finally went into settings tonight and found Microsoft Edge Secure Network. It's greyed out, and if I hover over the "briefcase" I get a message, This setting is turned off for managed browsers. <Sigh>2.4KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Introducing the new favorites experience in Microsoft Edge
TBH, I haven't really done the separate desktop option. The thought occurred to me as I was reading your post. "Good idea," thought I, and then, "Hmmm.... separate desktops." I can see where that might be a bit cumbersome, if one has a LOT of them. As you say, just storing them in a folder works, and then they're all in one place. Plus, you can put subfolders in there and name them whatever you want..4KViews1like7CommentsRe: Introducing Microsoft Edge Secure Network
BrandonMaslen This must be another controlled rollout. I don't have the option at all. I never get any controlled rollout features, at all. I guess they look at my account and say, "Oh, it's him. Skip and move on to the next guy or gal."69KViews0likes5CommentsRe: Discussion - Set Aside Tabs and Warn on Close
Elliot Kirk So, it's been 2 years and 2 months since you posted this. Is there any news, or should we just figure that the issue is dead? Here's the thing: MAKE A DECISION! A lot of people want the feature. Some don't. I don't know what more you can be looking for in the way of comments. Just make a decision, already, and announce it! Thanks for letting us vent.2.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Introducing Workspaces in Edge | New feature
Well, I'm not using Pro, so I can't do the VM. Perhaps I'll try an additional browser profile. I agree about making sure a new feature is fully tested, but (and I'm NOT a software engineer) it seems that 8 months is a long time to test a feature.5.2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Introducing Workspaces in Edge | New feature
JimGrisham HotCakeX Here we are, EIGHT months later, and I have NEVER had Workspaces. The thing is, in my use of Edge (all four flavors), I would've been an excellent test bed for that feature. It gets a bit frustrating that M'soft seems to forget about features and they languish in cyber-limbo.5.3KViews2likes2CommentsRe: We're Listening!
Hello KeenBowl, I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish going into "incognito mode." That has nothing to do with masking your identity online. All it does is remove evidence of your online activity from the computer you were on. Also, if you're concerned about privacy, Google search is the worst engine to use. Google's business plan is to take all your information and sell it to others. When you use anything Google, YOU are the product. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think that Microsoft is in the business of mining your information and selling it to others. The most secure search engine is Duck Duck Go, and it is selectable in Edge's settings page. Finally, on the incognito page, if you search in the URL window instead of the search window, it will select your chosen search engine. Regards, Dan2.8KViews0likes4Comments
