Re: Legacy Gold into Solutions Partner designation license benefits experience
Hi MartinUl, Unfortunately, the rules here are clear: you have to wait until the next anniversary to be able to purchase the Solution Partner Designation. Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/membership/silver-gold-membership-competency#what-happens-if-i-have-active-legacy-silver-or-gold-benefits-but-later-qualify-for-a-solutions-partner-designation What happens if I have active legacy silver or gold benefits but later qualify for a Solutions Partner designation? Microsoft automatically upgrades you to a Solutions Partner designation as you qualify. On your next anniversary date, if you still qualify for the Solutions Partner designation, you can purchase the Solutions Partner designation benefits.254Views1like1CommentRe: Download Price List - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/developer/get-a-price-sheet
hi andrebaldo, It looks like a Global Admin has to confirm the consent of your application first: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/developer/secure-app-model-framework#application-captures-partner-consent Also very helpful here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/partner-led-questions-tech/configuring-the-secure-app-model-for-powershell-api-graph/m-p/3821164#M2Re: Legacy silver benefits end date ?
Hi MrMVDT update on this Topic: There is now an end date until when the legacy benefits can be renewed: Source: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/announcements/2024-august#monthly-microsoft-ai-cloud-partner- program-update Microsoft Action Pack, Learning Action Pack, Legacy Silver, Legacy Gold benefits transition: As part of this transition, Microsoft will no longer sell the Microsoft Action Pack, Learning Action Pack, and legacy silver/gold benefits on January 22, 2025 . Partners with existing benefits can renew them until January 21, 2025, and keep them until they expire one year later. To continue receiving benefits, partners are encouraged to purchase new partner benefits packages or achieve Solutions Partner designations. These new offerings are designed to help meet business goals and provide more robust support compared to the legacy benefits. Hi Finntec , here you have the answer: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/mpn-benefits-azure-cloud#redeem-your-azure-credits So you need to activate the new Azure Subscription. Then you need to open a Microsoft Support case: Open a Partner Center Support Case with the following information Problem Summary: "Please link the Azure Sponsoring Credits Subscription with the "Sub ID ##########" to the Azure Subscription "ID ##########""11KViews1like3CommentsRe: Status of Microsoft Places
Hi Hejnzzz, you should be able to log in to the preview. But I haven't tested it yet. There are instructions here (unfortunately only in German) on which steps you should carry out. https://www.msxfaq.de/cloud/funktionen/microsoft_places.htm Source: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/frankcarius_msxfaq-activity-7196286970963132417-_f8s?utm_source=share Relatively surprisingly, Microsoft made the function available to all tenants as an optional component. This does not mean that your users can now get started straight away. The order is Find out whether Places is even interesting Clarify the issue of data protection and what additional information you provide here in the cloud Fill out a form to have the feature activated. (and wait afterwards) Maintain your rooms, floors and buildings via PowerShell or CSV import (there is no GUI yet) Wait a bit again In selected clients (OW, Teams) you can also search for rooms based on the building and floor for appointments. It's a "public preview" and things are certainly not going smoothly yet. I don't expect Places to affect your other productive data but keep that in mind Features can come and go Behavior can change at any time Inform your employees about the restrictions Administratively there are still “unfinished business”, e.g. RemoteRooms with Exchange Hybrid But such a preview allows you, for example in a test tenant, to adapt your provisioning of rooms for later production. Anyone who is already creating rooms automatically today should start doing this early on4.2KViews1like0CommentsRe: Status of Microsoft Places

Hi hakan-andersson Please first create a Microsoft Support case requesting that the sponsorship credits be linked to an existing Azure subscription. Because this is possible. What you need to do beforehand: Create a new account in the tenant "Tenant Id: d6*-*-*-*-*", as an example "sub_az (at) domain-a.com" Activate Azure Sponsoring Credits Subscription with the newly created user Add the new user to the tenant "Tenant Id: c5*-*-*-*-*" as a guest Log in to the tenant "Tenant Id: c5*-*-*-*-*" with the guest user "https://portal.azure.com/c5*-*-*-*-*" Move the Azure Sponsoring Credits subscription from the tenant "Tenant Id: d6*-*-*-*-*" to the tenant "Tenant Id: c5*-*-*-*-*" Add additional contributors or owners to the Azure Sponsoring Credits Subscription from the tenant "Tenant Id: c5*-*-*-*-*". Open a Partner Center Support Case with the following information on your Tenant "Tenant Id: d6*-*-*-*-*" Problem Summary: "Please link the Azure Sponsoring Credits Subscription with the "Sub ID ##########" to the Azure Subscription "ID ##########""1.2KViews1like1CommentRe: Can't register for Microsoft Hardware Developer Program
Hi JillArmourMicrosoft, Hi jamesyenke Unfortunately I have no experience with registering the "Microsoft Windows Hardware Developer Program", but what I found is the following: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/dashboard/hardware-program-register#prerequisites have you met these requirements? Prerequisites If you have an existing organization Dev Center account that you want to use for the Hardware program, sign in with it before you begin registration. You must have an Extended Validation (EV) code signing certificate. Check whether your organization already has a code signing certificate. If your company already has a certificate, have the certificate available. If your organization doesn't have a certificate, you'll need to purchase an EV certificate. You only need the certificate to register for the Hardware Developer Program. You don't need to sign your driver with it. You'll need to sign in with your organization’s Microsoft Entra ID Global administrator account. If you don’t know whether your organization has an Microsoft Entra ID directory, contact your IT department. If your organization doesn’t have an Microsoft Entra ID directory, you'll be able to create one for free during the registration process. You must have the authority to sign legal agreements on behalf of your organization.3.6KViews1like5CommentsRe: Microsoft 365 Now Can Buy Mix Plan Over 300 Lic ?
Hi Deleted As you can read in the Product Terms here: https://www.microsoft.com/licensing/terms/productoffering/Microsoft365/MCA Microsoft 365 Business Basic/Standard/Premium Use Rights Customer may not provision more than 300 user subscription licenses. It is therefore clearly regulated that you are not allowed to have more than 300 user subscriptions. During the Microsoft-led migration period, beginning January 11, 2024, subscriptions that exceed the established limits will not be renewed. Customer subscriptions with more than 300 active licenses for a legacy offer on a per-user product that falls under this policy will not be migrated to new commerce at renewal date. These subscriptions will then move to an expired state and cannot be reactivated. Enterprise SKUs are available, and customers who exceed the limit will need to purchase the corresponding products.15KViews0likes11CommentsRe: Azure Information Protection Premium P1
Hi NisChristiansen Here is a good overview from Microsoft about this: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/announcements/2024-february#11 Azure Information Protection (AIP) is on a modernization and integration journey. The goal of this journey is to provide an advanced classification, labeling, and protection stack for our customers with Microsoft Purview Information Protection and Microsoft 365. Customers were notified of the upcoming retirement of the AIP Unified Labeling add-in for Office in April 2024 via message center posts in April 2023, and we continue to encourage them to migrate to the equivalent / superior capabilities Information Protection features that are built in to Microsoft 365. As part of this journey, partners and customers can no longer purchase new standalone subscriptions for AIP P1 as of January 2024. A Microsoft 365 Partner Community post was published in December 2023. Why was the Azure Information Protection (AIP) P1 standalone removed from the price list in January 2024? Removing the AIP P1 standalone from the price list is a step in the journey to migrate customers to subscription plans and offers that include Microsoft Purview Information Protection. AIP was originally built for desktop/on-premises use with a downloaded desktop client. Native labeling, and other classification and protection capabilities that are in AIP are included as part of subscription plans and offers that include Microsoft Purview Information Protection: Microsoft 365 E3 Microsoft 365 E5 Information Protection and Governance Microsoft 365 E5 Office 365 E3 Office 365 E5 Enterprise Mobility and Security E3 Enterprise Mobility and Security E5 Microsoft 365 F3 and Business Premium15KViews1like2CommentsRe: Is it possible to purchase and maintain both Microsoft Action Pack and Partner Success Core Benefit
Hi GPhbt, I only found the following: "The new partner benefits packages can be purchased individually and in addition to existing benefits, including ISV Success. Beyond these packages, partners are encouraged to differentiate their organizations with a solution area Solutions Partner* designation or specialization. In addition to helping you stand out to your customers in the market, these offerings unlock significantly more Microsoft Azure credits, seats, and technical support." Source: https://blogs.partner.microsoft.com/partner/grow-your-partnership-with-new-partner-benefits-packages/ In my opinion, you should be able to purchase the Action Pack and all three new ones ("Partner Launch Benefits", "Partner Success Core Benefits" and "Partner Success Expanded Benefits") together.3.4KViews2likes4CommentsRe: Can NCE SQL perpetual licenese be hosted?
Hi CageCube, Due to the introduction of the "Flexible Virtualization Benefit", it is probably best in your scenario if you purchase the SQL licenses as software subscriptions. Source: https://samexpert.com/flexible-virtualization/ What is the Flexible Virtualization Benefit? Customers with subscription licenses or Licenses with active Software Assurance (including CALs) may use licensed copies of the software on devices, including shared Servers, that are under the day-to-day management and control of Authorized Outsourcers.709Views1like0Comments
