Office 365 Weekly Digest | March 5 - 11, 2017
Office 365 Weekly Digest | March 5 - 11, 2017 It was a light week for Message Center notifications with only two – one for upcoming changes to the Yammer Analytics Dashboard and the other for a new SharePoint Online feature with personalized news on the home page in Office 365. Microsoft Teams will reach General Availability (GA) on Tuesday, March 14th and we’re hosting an online event to mark the occasion. There are other Teams-related event opportunities through early April, as well as an upcoming webinar on successful Office 365 adoption. Microsoft Teams also takes center stage in one of last week’s blog posts, outlining a different approach for release. Additional blog posts from last week cover a new Office 365 profile experience and device-based conditional access policies for SharePoint and OneDrive for Business. Several videos and new Office Basics training updates wrap up this week’s post.1.2KViews5likes2CommentsOffice 365 Weekly Digest | March 12 - 18, 2017

I have also included a reminder about a change to unused anonymous links in SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business scheduled for March 30, 2017. Highlights for upcoming events are more Microsoft Teams experiences kicking off this week at the Microsoft campus in Charlotte, NC and the SharePoint Virtual Summit coming in May. Microsoft Teams continues to be the focus of lots of recent content, from blogs to videos, and the Exchange Team also posted a couple of announcements last week. Rounding out information from last week are a few handy resources and a new Microsoft Virtual Academy course on provisioning Office 365 services.Office 365 Weekly Digest | March 26 - April 1, 2017

New to the Upcoming Events is a virtual class where you can learn, through extensive hands-on labs, how Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) can help keep the employees in your company productive on their favorite apps and devices and your company’s data protected. Last week’s blog roundup includes the announcement of Microsoft To-Do, details on some of the security and compliance features of Microsoft Teams as well as insight into DNS intrusion detection in Office 365. However, the major news is all focused on the Office 365 ProPlus updates that were announced – Office 365 ProPlus or Office perpetual in mainstream support will be required to connect to Office 365 services starting October 13, 2020. Hi jcgonzalezmartin Going forward in my weekly blog posts, I won't be including any specific Message Center notifications for the reasons described in this week's post. Apologies if that came across as there are no updates this week. I do see notifications from last week in my tenant, but I haven't received my weekly Message Center digest email yet to see if they align. Again, apologies for any confusion caused by my post... Sincerely, Thomas3.1KViews2likes1CommentRe: Office 365 Weekly Digest | February 26 - March 4, 2017

Anne mentioned it in last week's blog post about the latest updates to the O365 Admin Center :) New Power BI admin role—The Power BI admin role is a new role in Azure AD, meant for those tasked with administering Power BI for their organization. Office 365 user admins can assign users to be Power BI admins within the Office 365 admin center or via PowerShell script. Once a user is assigned, they’ll be able to access the Power BI Admin portal. There, they will have access to tenant-wide usage metrics and be able to control tenant-wide usage of Power BI features.1.9KViews1like0Comments
