Re: Emails containing links
Is this an Outlook.com mailbox? Verify with the sender that SPF and DKIM is being used and that DMARC aligns as well or the message is very likely to be dropped. DKIM signing is often overlooked when automated systems are sending password reset emails.10Views0likes0CommentsRe: Increasing Microsoft Graph Per-Mailbox Throttling Limits (PUT/POST/PATCH & Concurrency)
There is no straightforward answer to this as a lot depends on the specifics what you are doing and how often it occurs. It also depends on the size of the tenant and the other things that are happening within that tenant (at Graph level). For instance, is this a continuous thing, is it in bursts is it for a migration scenario? Also, are there other ways of doing this which wouldn't exhaust your endpoints? This isn't just about optimizing your Graph calls, but also looking at (native) alternatives such as Power Automate. The best way to go about this would be to contact your TAM at Microsoft and also create a support request. If it is actually for your customer's tenants, have them do the same thing. Valid use cases are usually considered, and you might even get some tips along the way when working with the correct engineers. If this is about data extraction, consider Microsoft Graph Data Connect as an alternative; Microsoft Graph Data Connect overview - Microsoft Graph | Microsoft Learn6Views0likes0CommentsRe: Reoccurring & Individual Events in Outlook Calendar
No, you must use Classic Outlook if you want to import csv-files for appointments or otherwise use the ics-format. However, note that New Outlook and Outlook on the Web have the option "Edit this and all following event" for recurring meetings. This will keep the history of the recurring meeting. Classic Outlook doesn't have this feature and will indeed reset the entire series when editing the recurring meeting.12Views1like0CommentsRe: Room Mailbox Time Zone change
In general, it shouldn't as these are meetings and not appointments. Also, the meetings aren't created by the Room Mailbox but within the Mailbox Calendar of the organizer. This means that time-zone information is stored within the meeting and thus the "relative time" will remain the same. So, when an organizer scheduled a meeting at 14:00 CET, it will now show as 12:00 in the Calendar with the Reykjavik time zone. Changing the time zone of the mailbox will then show it correctly as 14:00 CET which is still 12:00 within the Reykjavik time zone. Also note that the time zone of the Room Mailbox doesn't (always) really matter. When you connect to it with Classic Outlook and your Windows time zone is set as CET, you will see all meetings within the Room Mailbox as CET as well.10Views0likes0CommentsRe: New Outlook left navigation bar
Have you submitted feedback about this already? You can also consider upvoting this similar request; folder pane doesn't stay open -- terrible design! · Community That said, New Outlook is still very much under development in various areas and has a long backlog and many things in planning. Therefore, providing feedback and upvoting similar requests is important to make sure priorities and expectations align better. Also note that development within certain areas is often within cycles. This means that they for instance focus a while more on features, then on the framework, then on the optimization, then on the user interface, etc... The App Rail containing all the Outlook modules (Mail, Calendar, Contacts, To Do, etc...) and other apps will likely not go away. However, when Microsoft has sufficient data about common screen settings (such as aspect ratio, width and height in pixels, width and height in physical dimensions, dpi/scaling settings, etc...) they will look at how they can optimize how Outlook collapses and expands certain areas based on the window width and what the minimum size for a certain pane should be. Right now, at 100% scaling, the window must be at least 918 pixels wide before the Folder List shows up with the Reading Pane on the right side. This could indeed quickly become an issue for smaller screens which have scaling set to 150% or even 200% and Portrait works differently than Landscape. With the Reading Pane on the bottom side, the Folder List will always show, even with the minimal required window width of Outlook (646 pixels).25Views0likes1CommentRe: Outlook Running Very Slow and Laggy

For Exchange Online accounts, the suggestions are based on your internal relationships with your colleagues. Signals are for instance what's been filled out in the "Reports To" field for your user and who else has the same value. This basically builds the Org Explorer. Other signals are who you are in the same Microsoft Teams with and who you've recently communicated with in either Outlook or Microsoft Teams. From my experience, the suggestions have become pretty good over the years when it comes to people I'm regularly in contact with or who are "close" to me within the organization. Obviously, when I want to contact a "random" person within the company, I need to type quite a bit of their name before it comes as a suggestion. For POP3, these signals don't exist and it usually first comes up with people you've (recently) emailed before. In general, you'd send an email with a link to whatever platform is handling the survey. You wouldn't directly include this in an email considering these are usually multiple pages of questions with complexer form logic which allow for follow up questions when specific answers are selected. If this is handled by an external agency, verify that the email isn't going to be filtered out by your spam filter or that it doesn't end up in "Other" for people with Focused Inbox enabled.7Views0likes0CommentsRe: Migrating Outlook folders from old to new laptop Windows 11
Much depends on the account type that you are using on your old laptop. It sounds like this was a POP3 account. In that case, your data is stored in a pst-file. To find out the location of your pst-file use; File-> Account Settings-> Account Settings...- tab: Data Files Close Outlook and copy over the pst-file to your new computer. As VasilMichev already mentioned, Mail Flow rules (also known as Transport Rules) will work as they work before an attempt is made to deliver the email to a mailbox. However, this might not be the way to go in a larger corporate environment where you in general don't want to create Mail Flow rules "per user". For most use cases, creating a Mail User would be a better fit. This allows you to create a sign-in for the user but associate it with an external email address as well. I that case, emails sent to the internal address of the user, are automatically sent (routed/forwarded) to the external address and don't require an Exchange Online or Outlook license to do so.
