Hello everyone. New to the community. Thanks for all the previous posts. What notification(s), if any, are sent to participants when a meeting originated in a team channel has been changed/cancelled? Additionally, what, if anything, happens when someone tries to propose a new time or declines an invite? Our business enterprise is not receiving any notifications. Thank you.
They will get a meeting invitation in Outlook and Teams. In Teams client they will be able to select Accept, Tentative or Decline. They will also be able to chat with participants if the meeting is with users from the same organisation (not external).
In Teams users won't get any notifications when they are invited or the meeting is canceled/change but they will get a notification in Outlook. In Teams the calendar will be updated with the new update, but without any notification that it been updated/canceled.
When someone propose a time change the meeting creator will get that reply in Outlook.
Thank you for the response. So to clarify, we have experienced that we have not received any sort of notification in either situation (acceptance/decline or new time proposals). One instance was with an colleague who sent a New Time Proposal and showed it to me on her end, but I did not receive a notification. The other was an individual declining a meeting 15 min before the meeting and we did not know until we went to join the call. Based on your reply how or where should I go to create a meeting as the creator to ensure I will receive notifications?
You can create the invite in Teams or in Outlook but all replies will come to Outlook. You will still be able to track who has Accepted or Declined in Teams but you won't get any notification about it.
