This is a great feature, but there are some issues.

My biggest complaint is with the Web Site tab.  I want to link to a SharePoint list but I get "this page cannot be displayed in a frame".

Can you add an option to the Web Site tab to be able to select how the link opens, in frame or New window?

How are you adding the list? I have just added a list using the Web Tab and I'm seeing the list in the Teams App

I think an important question for you @Christopher Florian is what version of SharePoint does this list exist in (are you running hybrid for example?) and what type of site is this list coming from (classic? modern?)

More specific details about the characteristics of what you're trying to display might help us figure out what is going on. I have no issues displaying a list in Teams for example, but the lists I'm using are from SharePoint Online, in Modern Team Sites, using the Modern List experience.

It's not just trying to open a SharePoint List. The longer the Website Link option has been out there the more SharePoint content successfully loads into the frame.  I guess my specific issue is I want the Open in new window option so I have a choice how my link opens (be it SharePoint or not).

Ah, got it. Not sure you'll get that, but I'm certainly not the one to decide. The idea of Teams is to self-contain as much as possible to maintain a "single pane of glass" and not keep tossing people out to other tools or browsers. Always exceptions of course, but that is the general vision.

Yeah, I get that, but if I'm linking a wide SP list (lots of columns), it is not going to fit into that little box...

Thanks for the reply.

Hello David,

The same thing I also tried to add Website tab but its is giving error could not load

I have noticed this also in Website tabs recently. Seems to be a few bugs they are chasing.

Thanks David..

Please suggest me the way out how to get enabled Managed Metadata feature in Microsoft Teams.. Because I have done Metadata configuration in some of the teamsite I need to work this on Microsoft Teams

Go vote. A quick search turned this up, but feel free to look around and see if there is an item that better fits or create a new one if you feel like none of them capture your needs: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/18694213-metadata-customized-v...

I would also go provide this feedback to the SharePoint team, as they would have some influence over the SharePoint experience in Teams as well.

If a user needs a link to a site that he wants to see in his favorite browser, it is not necessary to impose your instrument. Do not try to make a browser from a chat, do not try to impose your point of
view and then maybe your products will someday become comfortable for people.

Maybe someday, but not now.

Use a chat that takes the entire screen and decides for you what you need, thanks, but no.
