On our continuing journey to bring more capability to Excel for Mac, we're excited to announce some improvements to the Find and Replace feature—you can now edit cells without having to close the Find dialog first. We’ve also added some long-requested search functionality: Find All!

It’s easy to use Find All in Excel for Mac.

  1. To open the Find and Replace dialog box, press Control+F or click Home > Find & Select > Find.
  2. Enter your search term and click the Find All button. You’ll notice that the dialog box expands to show a list of all the cells that contain the search term, and the total number of cells in which it appears.

  3. Click any item in the list to select the corresponding cell in your worksheet.

Availability:

The new Find All and improved Find Dialog is available in the April 2022 monthly update. It will be version 16.60 (220410) or greater.

Do you have an idea to make Excel better? We'd love to hear about it. Go to the Excel forum in Microsoft Feedback to submit your idea or vote for other ideas. You can also click the Feedback button in Excel and choose "I have a suggestion".

Hello, I'm running Excel 2021, version 16.59 on Mac OS Monterey. Why does the Find All functionality not appear for me? (Same issue as previous user. )

This still isn't available as of version 16.59 (latest).

So why put an article that says this is available when it clearly isn't?

Has this functionality been removed since this posting??? FIND ALL simply does not appear for me. I wish I could attach a screenshot to prove it.

I have the same issue.  My screens are the same as those provided by the other users.  Clearly this hasn't been updated yet - I am using Excel for Mac 16.59.

  • Hi all - this feature was previously only available if you were using the Office Insiders updates, but it will be available to everyone with the April 2022 monthly update. The build number will be 16.60 (220410) or greater.
