MSIX Desktop Shortcuts working on Windows 11, but not on Windows 10
Hello, I'm using the latest version of MSIX packaging tool 1.2024.405.0 and I have Windows AppRuntime 1.4.x installed on both OS versions. While using Windows 11 23H2 I can launch the application by using the desktop shortcut and the start menu icon as well, but while using Windows 10 22H2 is working only if I use the start menu icon. I know that I can use PSF fixup to make it work, but why? Shouldn't this work natively? What am I missing? I have a couple of questions on where Windows 365 cloud PC resources (OS disk, user profiles, etc.) are stored. As I understand it the architecture of Windows 365 Government spans across a US Gov Community Cloud (GCC) and a public facing cloud. Am I correct in assuming that the public cloud mentioned above is Azure Commercial? Where are user profiles stored? I've seen that they are stored on the local C drive on several Microsoft partner sites but can't find anything official on any Microsoft site. Furthermore, after upgrading these clients to Windows 11, whenever they try to start new RDP session with the Server, they face an issue where the display is solid black with incomplete shapes just like pixels ( I have attached the screenshot). In addition, while hovering across other part of the screen they start to load but with delay. metaphorically It's like placing puzzle pieces together. This problem didn't exist before upgrading to 11 and clients who are authenticated to initiate RDP session with this Server had no problem on 10, So it's definitely not about bandwidth or anything related to Network Infrastructure and I have had everything checked with our Network Team. Till now, AVI still has compatibility issue. I can't play them with Windows Media Player and my iPhone as well. While the new features are impressive, I've encountered some compatibility issues with essential apps and certain functionalities that were smoother on iOS 17. After some research, I've decided that downgrading back to iOS 17 would be the best course of action for my needs. I have two wired network adapters on my computer. The first one is conefigured with static IP address, netmask, gateway and DNS servers and it works fine. I tried to configure the second network adapter with IP address and netmask and Windows preserves these settings in GUI, however when I inspect thata network interface with ipconfig commenad the IP address is 169.254.79.184.
