1. Navigate to the Settings app.
2. Select "Network & Internet."
3. Click "Data usage" on the top right side.
4. Choose "Wi-Fi or Ethernet" from the drop-down menu next to the title "Enter data limit."
5. Set the limit by clicking the "Enter Limit" button.

6. Choose a time period (Limit type), a monthly reset date/days till data expires, and a data limit (Unit as either MB or GB).
7. Click the "Save" button.

Sorry no that is not what I meant. It has to do with the data usage counters that are kept for every network interface. Currently, the counters are updating with how much data has been transferred by a specific program or service. These counters can be cleared by schedule or manually. There are a few articles that explains how this is done both manually by executing scheduled .bat files that use PowerShell commands to clear these counters.
The command set executed are; "net stop DPS"; "del /f /s /q /a "%windir%\system32\sru\*"; "net start DPS".
What I was asking , "does there exist a registry that just turns it off" so we do not have to come up with all these external fixes. With the new Windows 11 release this are has not been touched and it looks exactly like Windows 10. We would like to know that we can have more control of our environment.
