why doesn't Win11 save desktop icon positions? How to make it save positions?
I'm experiencing an issue with Windows 11 where the positions of my desktop icons don't seem to be saved. Every time I restart my computer or refresh the desktop, the icons are rearranged, which disrupts my organization and workflow. I've tried a few basic troubleshooting steps, like adjusting the icon sizes and using the "Align icons to grid" option, but nothing seems to resolve the problem.EndaborDec 20, 2024Copper Contributor12Views0likes1CommentGeneral Support Windows 11 Suddenly Started to Resize and Move my Open Windows Position
I am experiencing a frustrating issue with my Windows 11 system where open windows suddenly resize and shift positions on their own. This behavior occurs intermittently, disrupting my workflow and making it difficult to manage multiple applications effectively. It seems to happen without any specific trigger, and I am unsure if it is related to recent updates, software conflicts, or a settings issue.EndaborDec 20, 2024Copper Contributor7Views0likes0CommentsUpgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10 but my activation of windows is not activated automatically

I go to a blue page that says "Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart". We're just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you. I get a message that it is 100% complete. Then it says for more information about this issue and possible fixes, visit https://www.windows.cm/stopecode. At the bottom of the window it says "If you call a support person give them this info: Stop code: PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA. WHAT FAILED: Wdf01000.sys. Everytime the PC reboots it goes to the same page. I'm able to hit F2 to get to the Boot window, but that's it. I wrote a program using Python about a few moths ago to re-number my screenshots directory. I figured I would like to compensate for deletions in the default screenshot naming/numbering. After perfecting the program I've found that the screenshot function continues to name/number new screenshots from the latest screenshot ever existing. For example, I had 25 screenshots, and deleted 16, 18, and 20 throughout the week. I run my program and it renames all of them using the default title 'Screenshot ().png', and I then have screenshots 1-22. The issue: When I create the next new screenshot, it's created as 'Screenshot (26).png' by default, instead of 'Screenshot (23).png'. I'm still using Windows 10 Pro, so I'm unsure whether this is a feature of Windows 11. This should be a regular feature implemented in the OS. Does anyone know how I might be able to reset the count each time I run my program?Michael82353Dec 06, 2024Copper Contributor222Views0likes2Comments- SanchezDec 06, 2024Copper Contributor83Views0likes4Comments
