In November 2021,
Microsoft is rolling out a new feature in MS Teams. All-new MS Teams’ meeting recordings will expire after 60 days and move to the Recycle bin. The media files will live in a Recordings folder on OneDrive (Non-Channel) or SharePoint (Team Channel) instead of the previous location, Stream.

• What is the Recording Auto-Expiration feature?

• Who is impacted by this feature?

• What is Non-channel and Team Channel?

• Where are the Recordings stored?

• Who has access to the recordings?

• Who is the recording owner?

• What happens after the recordings are moved to the Recycle Bin?

• And, some additional key factors that improve the user experience.

It would be better if the message attached to the video meeting recording would just show the expiration date instead of click here and having to click on the Information Icon to see the expiration date. Having a meeting that you just recorded, show that this recording is set to expire will cause some people to panic, and making the user do two clicks to see the expiration date is a waste of time. Why not just show the expiration date in the warning message.
