Re: Your link points to a tab that no longer exists
MindeaLLC any idea how? Wondering if its being blocked by IT Admin, or just not possible from MSFT yet. I'm experiencing the same issue when searching for and adding the Workflowsapp to a Teams Channel (at the top) - I prefer to build power automate flows in the team channel, using the team Forms and Sharepoint rather than building them under my own org account. Further, when building from the Form trigger: "when a new response is submitted", I cannot even see the Form Name on the Teams Channel included in the drop down menu to select it for the trigger step. I have to manually copy the web URL "ID" and use that as a work around. That said, I'm not sure MSFT allows for a flow build in "Teams Channel" setting and probably just creates the new workflow from my org account - super frustrating if ture.2.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: How to generate a SharePoint List to pull users from Office 365?
Wanted to follow up on this noting I didn't have to ask IT.. 1 day, I was scrolling through 20 different categorical field names of our profiles under "Get Employee" and found they tucked the Employee ID under a "Nickname" Field.... so I've been pulling/using that with the Dynamic Content in flows.. Thanks for the suggestion!6.7KViews0likes0CommentsRe: How to populate the TITLE column (via Power Automate?)
Can you share any screen shots of the flow? I'm not sure what steps where to make the LIST NAME "Documents" as my List Names are already named something else. (not sure if this is named in the flow using data operations commands, or its the actual list name). Also unsure where the NAME column is since its not apparent in my SP List. Thanks for the idea and assisting as I'm eager to get this going.7.6KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Macro Error for Pivot Table
RichardSeeley I have a similar issue noting that I'm trying create 1 pivot table (template) with the same edits in font size, filter, and column width edits, and column title change), so the macro will duplicate the table 6 times into 6 new sheets. Then I'd like to rearrange the categories in the Table Row within PivotTable Fields to look differently at the table data in each sheet.. VBA runs, creates the 1st pivot, but on the copy/paste to a new sheet step, it seems to drop the very 1st row category inside the PivotTable Fields section (noting it was there when macro was created and is within the VBA script-hence the error) "code scan" is not even generated under the first Table created from the macro. ***Even the 1st PV created (3rd image) doesn't contain the 1st row category (Code Scanned Y/N) noted in the macro VBA code for position 1 (1st image) *** the missing category propagates upon creating the next copied table noting it could not find position 2 category name. Does something happen when you rearrange the categorical values in the Rows box of PivotTable Fields? Even though they are 6 independent tables since they were copied/pasted?3.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Flow to extract attachments from Inbox
j_cabanillas I just posted a thread on a similar topic. I want to extract 1 particular attachment from a received email, and save it to Sharepoint. Easy enough with pre-built flows by MSFT, except the "apply to each" piece that kicks in automatically during the build. Signature lines contain lots of png and jpeg files as attachments that get saved due to "apply to each" and I need a way to identify and pull only the file in word or excel as the attachment, skipping the others from sig line. any takers on helping with how to do this?Re: How to populate the TITLE column (via Power Automate?)
For what its worth, I just solved my own problem noting the "ID" is a field already created in a SP List, though often its "hidden" from the display view. In List Settings >> Views >> All Items, you can select box to display the "ID" column. Of course, this may not work with fancier requests for an item number like USB-001, etc.26KViews0likes2CommentsRe: How to populate the TITLE column (via Power Automate?)
jensjakobsen1966DhirenMehtaMSFT, Appreciate the idea of not requiring a value in the title column, as that was a great start for my SP List. Would also love to discern how to auto update/advance a number series in a column, whether title or not, as it seems the title column needed as some sort of "anchor" to the entire list, whether used or not. I'd like to discern which flow trigger works best to auto update a new item with a sequential number (ie: SP List has 1 intital entry, and the next "create new item" updates the number column to 2, and so-on. Is this possible with triggers: 1) when an item is created, 2) when an item is created or modified? Or is using "calculated value" in list settings an option? I'm not quite sure how to "link" a new item created to the previous/last item ID number completed.26KViews0likes3CommentsRe: How to generate a SharePoint List to pull users from Office 365?
TimLB Thanks Timothy.. The Tenant and People Pickers are tools/language hare are above my knowledge/skill level.. I also do not have access to the Sharepoint Admin Center as I'm not in IT. I appreciate the response, but it might be that I need to learn PowerApps to build this. I appreciate your insight and response, however.41KViews0likes2CommentsRe: How to generate a SharePoint List to pull users from Office 365?
TimLB Without delving into learning PowerApps just yet, is there a simple way to ask Sharepoint to auto load employee information like name, email, or dept based on Azure Active Directory information? Currently, I can search/find employees and add them to Sharepoint List column by searching for them using a company email address. We also have unique identifiers like employee numbers that I'd like to use instead. 1) How can I instruct SP to search for a person based on this number instead of their email address? 2) How can I link columns for "auto filling" subsequent columns with name, email, dept, etc from the unique number in Azure? Appreciate your insight and thank you!41KViews0likes6Comments
