Windows - unable to create a 'Windows Hello' PIN
Hi, a new user is able to log-in using 'email address' and set a PIN for 'Windows Hello', works fine. But a local user migrated profile (using Profwiz) cannot add a PIN since the 'login page' shows as the imagem below and then close quickly. I already tried: 1) WSRESET command to refresh connection to his cloud account, but no success; 2) Instruction from that article below regarding to reset folder 'NGC' permissions, but no success: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/help-i-forgot-my-pin-for-windows-hello-and-i/537620d4-da87-4794-99f4-684931b036a0 * this environment is 'Windows 10 Pro' or 'Windows 11 Pro' and the users has 'M365 E3' license.189Views0likes0CommentsM365 - Exchange Admin BUG - you cannot see the mailbox name redirected for
Hi, as we perform actions on M365 customers tenant day to day, after changes we review what we did. After manage a mailbox and then set a 'mail flow redirecion', the redirection works fine but you cannot see the mailbox named for it, but only its 'ID'. > > > If you - reading this post -are a MS employee, pls, make sure to that issue goes to the right team to fix asap.189Views0likes1Commentv24.151.0728.0003 (64 bits) - BUG (old) - cannot start sync a shared folder
The user received permission on a shared folder, she is able to create/rename/delete via web browser - everything is fine. The problem starts when user try to sync that shared folder on her Windows 10 desktop 😡. We realize that the OneDrive app, register a phisycal folder to it on the profile path, but never starts the sync - even wainting more than 01 hour. If you go to the app settings and then try to 'stop the sync' nothing is stopped for real. If you try to select some folder on that share resource, you can see an error like the image below. 😡   If we open a ticket with M365 Support team, they will aks to start the 'OneDrive reset procedure'... We doing this almost every month for too many users with diferent computers (new one with fresh install and also old computers reinstalled from scratch) and the behavior is the same. The only way is instruct user to use all files over browser while the computer is trying to reset the onedrive settings - that expend more than 04h. --- Come on Microsoft developers! We are in 2024, why OneDrive still uses 'global.ini' file instead to be using WINDOWS REGISTRY? If I choose to "stop the sync" for a shared folder (onedrive environment) or library (sharepoint environment), why should I still have files locally??? This is a problem from security perspective, don't you agree?? Keep in mind that sometimes an employee change sector on even leave company and those files already synced still remain locally on SSD consuming space and openning a security breach for Data Lekeage for example. If other apps like Dropbox and Google Drive does, why don't do the same on Microsoft OneDrive????394Views0likes0CommentsRe: BUG - OneDrive client build 24.055.0317.0002 - you cannot type email addres, you must wait for 05min
Hi Mike, that post is just a 'register' of the issue, I understand your point and also agree, but that issue is just for a few seconds and after that you can type normally.... It seams that the app just 'hang' for a short time... * Pls, don't get me wrong, If you are not MS employee, that post was not for you.314Views0likes0CommentsRe: OneDriveforBusiness - unable to share w/ tenant colleagues but able to share with external contacts
Hi, just to clearify, during remote session with M365 Support Team, OneDrive cannot have a shared folder with more than 50.000 objects - that was the reason of the issue. This means that we need 'split' some network folders from the old FILESERVER before, spliting the content by letter (ie. Folder_A_to_C, Folder_D_to_F and so on); that was so crazy to change folder structures before migrate to the cloud and then to be able to share with colleagues from our team.... Microsoft should made 'more easy' the IT job, but...243Views0likes0CommentsBUG - OneDrive client build 24.055.0317.0002 - you cannot type email addres, you must wait for 05min
Hi MS Team, there is a bug in that version, after a clean/fresh install on Windows 11 Pro, I downloaded the .exe installer fromhttps://www.microsoft.com/pt-br/microsoft-365/onedrive/download, the installation occurs fine. When you open the app, you cannot type your e-mail address for more then 05 minutes or more. The only option is to wait or just close the app.658Views0likes2CommentsOneDriveforBusiness - unable to share w/ tenant colleagues but able to share with external contacts
Hi, we have one user wich are facing issues to share a folder on its ODB (he has M365 Business Standard license) with other colleagues inside the same tenant, but at the same time, he is able to share with external email addressess. The issue occurs when sharing via Windows desktop Onedrive app, via website or mobile app. The onyl way to share is using 'anyone with link' = that option is unsecure to us, so, no acceptable. I already edit user properties on M365 Admin portal, on 'OneDrive' tab in order to DISABLE SHARING and enabled it again but no sucess. Can someone help us???589Views0likes2CommentsRe: How can we increase ms exchange online mailbox storage?
HiRonKTB, you can acquire a new license, choosing 03 options: a) Exchange Online Plan2 = just edit the user who needs upgrade from 50GB to 100GB; b) E3 = that user will explore not only 100GB for mailbox but also another resources/benefits (https://m365maps.com/files/Microsoft-365-E3.htm) c) M365 Business Premium = came with 50GB for mailbox + Online Archiving (https://m365maps.com/files/Microsoft-365-Business-Premium.htm) You should confirm what is the best option 'cost-benefits' for that user. Keep in mind that you can change license anytime - but first check the commitment of that license (monthly payment or annual payment).4.3KViews0likes0CommentsSPMT (sharepoint migration tool) - install works fine but unable to load the app

MeenahKhosraw Hi, the big issues for Planner today in some of our customer is: 1) limit of amount of task to be set up to an user; 2) There is no alert on windows or even on mobile. For users that do not daily check their 'MS TEAMS' or 'MS TO-DO' apps, so too much task fall in the 'forgotten' by users and that compromise all tasks for a projet. This alerts should be more clear every day that user log-in on his OWA, his MS Teams or everytime that MS TO-DO opens; 3) The tasks created as 'TASK' in Outlook will be mixed with TO-DO tasks and also with MS PLANNER tasks? Why the user has 03 different APPs to control his task? It´s so confusing to our customers.46KViews1like0CommentsBUG -OneDrive Build 23.169.0813.0001 (64x) - why not ask to remove folder structure when stop sync??
Hi MS Team Dev, sorry for to be so 'ironic', but, is too 'expensive' the DEV team create some more couple of lines of code, for when the end user choose stop to sync an online folder (Microsoft Teams/Team/Files section) in order to be removed from its profile path and not show anymore on Windows Explorer??? To explain that case ################ Some users stopped to sync some folder and then back to sync or even keep saving files on that structure (because it is still visible/accessible on their computer) but which is no more linked to be updated with his account online on the OneDrive. It cause files/folder not be synced as expected by the user, do you know what I mean? >>>>> I will write to be more clear, even to a child (ironic again) <<<< ####################################### When the user decide to stop 'sync' an online folder, pls, force the OneDrive app (with more couple of code lines) to ask the user about to perform 02 steps automatically to him: 1) Do the 'cleanup free space' for that folder and its files - to avoid consume disk space; 2) remove folder structure from the disk and also remove the 'link' on the Windows Explorer window (left side panel). As you can see in the picture below, only 01 folder is set up to by synced but other 03 keep showing and create confusion! --- --- Environment: Windows 10 Enterprise + M365 Tenant account --- COME ON MS DevTeam, let's make end user's life more easy! *As we are partner, we got this complaint from a company that used Dropbox (before migrate to M365 with MS Teams and OneDrive) and it didn't happen to them! Hi, I openned a case with M365 Support Team (case #2308070040006447) but no success after perform the following steps: - Uninstall app, restart computer; - delete files and folders as the artcile:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/troubleshoot/teams-administration/clear-teams-cache; - Delete Regedit key:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Teams; - Open the Windows settings, go the 'Apps', find the 'Microsoft Teams (work or school) and the click on the 'reset' button; - reinstall the app. Even after these steps, that app keeps showing accounts on the first login screen, which are not used on my computer anymore. These accounts - that you can see on the imagem with yellow marks - are not connected to 'Microsoft Office' app or 'Windows Work/School' account. Where (file or registry key) the new app is reading to find that accounts??? As we tested yesterday with a remote support session, that issue only occurs with the BETA version of MS Teams app. *Windows 10 Enterprise (22H2 - 19045.3324)Azure VM - Disk dimension and speed
Hi, we have a customer which currently is using on premisses server (for ERP purposes) with SSD where the Hardware specifications shows as 'Up to 3,400MB/s Read, 925MB/s Write' -(link1). When we use our current Virtual Server Windows 2019 (B2Ms) on Azure with 'SSD Premium' of 1920GiB it shows as only 7500 IOPs/250MBps. HiDylanElemTeacher, regarding my post about users to be able to enter again to an old meeting, I think that will be addressed by the Roadmap ID 66921. ---- https://www.microsoft.com/pt-br/microsoft-365/roadmap?filters=&filters=&searchterms=66921 "We are making changes to how Teams meetings and join links are accessible for meeting organizers who have had their scheduling capabilities revoked. Today, Teams meeting URLs can be accessed before, during, and after the scheduled meeting time, even if the scheduling permission for the meeting organizer has been revoked after the meeting was created. To implement this change, we are adjusting the behavior of some settings in csTeamsMeetingPolicy to give additional control to the Tenant Admins. Tenant admins can now control and define the expiration of meetings created and scheduled by their users. This change does not impact any scheduled meetings for organizers who continue to have the ability to schedule Teams meetings (as defined by Meeting Policy). You can find additional details on this change below. What does it mean to expire meeting join coordinates? Once a meeting has been expired, the meeting can no longer be joined, whether through the meeting join link and/or Audio Conferencing—attempting to join the meeting will result in a failure. Any related conversations, files, whiteboards related to the meeting are preserved and unaffected, and can still be accessed. This includes channel meetings (both scheduled and meet now), scheduled meetings, and private meet now meetings. "25KViews0likes1Comment
