Since the local client calling the remote session can pass in credentials (SSO), can it also be made to pass in client system state, that is, that the local client's session is still active? It does not make sense to disconnect the remote host session when the client is still busy. It is not only annoying having to re-open the remote session when needed, but in the very process of disconnecting, the impact of the uncontrolled process changing a whole screen visually, distracts enormously from anything else I am concentrating on, in the main client computer. I too believe that Microsoft have become too cavalier with dates on files. Dates are an essential part of the data set, and I consider that when read-only was intended and actioned, then having the system changing the modified date is a corruption of essential data. There should be a separate accessed date, perhaps, with defined actions that trigger its change, and modified date should strictly not change if the content is not modified. Changing navigator options, on or off, any combination, does not work for me. This is not about pinned items but about the top-level nodes including 'Home' which are not movable (even though a bar appears when trying to move it). In Old Outlook (which is our preferred platform) there is no control of the Delete button, it is not in the quick steps or quick actions to manage. It is fixed, not controllable. In your local sync'd OneDrive files, select file, hold Shift + RightClick, Open as Read-Only. Has worked well for me, so far, without file or folder changing modified date, so long as I only read and close the document. Online OneDrive, I use the document menu, Preview - works as Read-Only. These features mean that I don't have to change any headings or OneDrive settings. EDIT - wanted to emphasize - when Shift + RightClick, Open as Read-Only, the file opens in Word (etc) with the AutoSave off. Maybe it went away, maybe it came back, but OneDrive with M365 enterprise on Win11 - files online and same file on PC, both not talking to each other. Local editor working with online file only. When I try to open local of same file in local editor, autosave is off and the file changes its name, I have to save as another. Cannot get them to both work together. A lot of pending shortcut files in a huge heap that my company shoved from network share into OneDrive online, has made sync grind to a halt/pending a lot but it is auto-synced, cannot turn it off. It seemed not to work for me, because I was trying to re-order the main icon levels - we have a Konnekt.io add-in that adds another node at the top, before Home. Wanted to be able to change at this level: Konnekt, Home, This PC, Network; to put Home above Konnekt. My Day is a specific bucket separate from due date, and there needs to be another bucket for My Tomorrow. Items with due date matching today will auto-populate My Day (I think this is being done/has already been done) and so items with due-date matching today + 1 are to auto-populate Tomorrow. OK, figured it out. Deleted all cookies in edge related to teams.microsoft.com. restarted edge; opened office.com, selected teams; it complained then offered for me to try again or sign out. I chose to sign out and in again, and then I took try again, but it might have just worked if I had taken try again the first time. Now I have browser teams.1.5KViews0likes0Comments
