Re: My hotmail account is supposed to no longer be supported as of Sept. 16, 2024. What do I need to do?
Hi there For #1 - You can still use Outlook.live.com in your browser and continue to login like you have always done. For #2 - Using the latest Outlook for Android will also be a good solution and you should not be impacted.22KViews1like0CommentsRe: How to upgrade my outlook account to modern authentication method?
spogprintHi there - Based on what you are saying, you likely experience the Basic Auth deprecation which we announced a few months back, and has started to roll out as of this morning. Based on what you are saying, you will likely need to talk with the team that manages your website, or the software package you are using on your website which sends mail. Instead of using Basic Authentication to authenticate to your email, they need to use Modern Auth (OAuth). The developer of the application or mail send functionality should be able to let you know if they have updated their sofware to support modern forms of authentication.251Views0likes0CommentsRe: 'Update your sign-in technology before September 16th, 2024 to maintain email access'.
ZeeOhSix Hi there, if you are only accessing your outlook.com/hotmail.com via the web browser you will be fine. You do not need to worry about changes. The changes come into play for the subset of users which are using a third party email client, or older versions of Outlook which were using basic auth and syncing via imap/pop.2.8KViews1like0CommentsRe: More than one signature in OWA - any plans?
Pawel Jarosz andChrisHoardMVPthanks for reaching out and for giving some feedback around multiple signatures. At this time, I don't have anything to share pertaining to when that might show up in the new Outlook on the web experience. We continually review top requested features and functionality from our customers. We have been actively responding to and prioritizing work from our UserVoice topics. As you can imagine most of our development effort has been happening in our new release that will be coming to your companies soon. I would recommend keeping an eye on the forum for the new experience. We have been actively closing items there regualrly and updating the roadmap. In the last month there have been 25+ resolved items. The item that is tracking this work is this post -https://outlook.uservoice.com/forums/907141/suggestions/36941440 Thanks for the feedback, and let me know if there is anything I can do for you! Hi there Bruce - My name is David Los, I work on the Outlook on the Web team. For Office 365 Tenants, there is a default activity timeout of 6 hours, that is set for all tenants (https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Session-timeouts-for-Office-365-37a5c116-5b07-4f70-8333-5b86fd2c3c40). And admin can configure that or disable the Activity timeout if they desire. If a user selects KMSI, they should not be hitting the activity timeout. If you are experiencing something different, I recommend reporting the feedback from within OWA. Click the question mark at the top/and select feedback. Thanks for the feedback David Los24KViews0likes0Comments
