Just saw this issue this morning with a customer using: Win 10 (10.0.16299.192) OneDrive Client (17.3.7294.0108) Office 2016 (1708 8431.2153) This customer is going through a file share migration to SharePoint Online and Win 7 update to Win 10. A lot of variables in play, but the behavior is consistent regarding the Excel files opening in read-only. Opens normally if the “Use Office 2016 to sync…” is unchecked.
