Is there a way to reduce the size of the attachment icon and/or display all attachments?
The icon that is displayed in a Planner entry that has an attachment is nearly the same size as the rest of the Planner entry. The link icon is HUGE!!! There should be: A way to shrink the attachment icon Show icons/labels for each attachment199Views0likes0CommentsRe: Save list as template on modern team site
Definitely a frustrating issue... I too am trying to migrate a list+data from a SPO "Classic" site to a SPO "ModExp" site. ATTEMPTS #1 | Failed - I export the template.stp, and imported into the ModExp site. However, ModExp does not have the "Add App" option to covert the template file into a list like the "Classic" experience did. #2 FAILED | Used the ModExp create list from existing list. Successfully copied the list structure over from the "classic" site to the "ModExp" site. But the process does not copy the data over-"frustrating". #3 FAILED | Exported list to Excel. Imported into ModExp site. This brought over the data, but no structure (lose all the multiple choice columns, etc,) *** MAJOR QUESTIONS > Seriously, why does ModExp NOT have an option to import the list from the STP template file? > Why, does the ModExp import list feature NOT have an option to copy over data? > Why, if neither of the above options are available, why can't we import the list. After the list structure is cloned, have the option to import data from Excel?4.2KViews1like0CommentsTitle Web Part - how to reduce wasted space?
Title area – is there any way not to have the title area take up nearly all the screen real estate with non-utilizable wasted space? Even when I make use of an extremely long page title, there is a tremendous amount of non-utilizable space. Image and Title (default) Tons of space to the right that cannot be utilized. The title web part is twice as high as the content. Plain This is the most condensed option, setting the title web part to the height. No image/background option. Color Block This option takes up the most vertical space. If the content area to the right was usable, this would be a pretty decent option – especially if a navigation menu could be placed there. If something like this could be implemented, then I wouldn't mind this layout. *** Microsoft has adopted UX designs that maximize non-utilizable space and lack borders or shading to distinguish sections. SharePoint offers no easy means to customize - it is extremely frustrating. In another decade this boondoggle of maximized negative space with no distinguishable elements will be considered the "web mullet" of the twenty-twenties. In ten years, it will be regarded in like manner to the 3D/blinking/scrolling text of the nineties.895Views0likes0CommentsRe: Full width Section in SharePoint modern UI Page
mytech1982 - This is an issue I am dealing with as well. Apparently, only Modern Experience "Communication" sites can utilize the full width page. Since our site was created as a "Collaboration" site, it appears we do not have access to the full-width-template. Why Microsoft has decided that we do not need a full-width page for Collaboration sites is lost on me. It is extremely frustrating embedding a list into a page, only to have it truncated by the column width while having about 40% of the screen real estate empty and un-utilized. We are in the process of updating our SharePoint Online site from an older classic experience to modern experience. So far, I like the modern experience list and library features. However, the UX design experience is a nightmare. Microsoft has chosen to adopt designs that maximize wasted space and providing no easy means to customize. Furthermore, Microsoft seems wholly opposed to borders or shading to distinguish sections. It is extremely frustrating. I believe in another decade this boondoggle of maximized negative space with no distinguishable elements will be considered the "web mullet" of the twenty-twenties, and will be looked back upon in like manner to the 3D/blinking/scrolling text of the nineties.17KViews11likes1CommentRe: Share Point Online how to insert image with link in the table
Seriously, I am experimenting with my first Modern Experience page utilizing a table. And it has been super-disappointing compared to many great experiences I have had with SharePoint Online / 365 ecosystem. So basically, it appears that we cannot copy and paste content, cannot insert an image into a cell...Microsoft, this is basic table functionality going back to 1993!3.8KViews0likes0Comments
