Azure Virtual Desktop Portal Bug
Since two days we discovered that in the AVD Portal under the Session hosts register the "VM Resource group" shows the resource group of the hostpool objects and not the actual virtual machines resourcegroup. In addition the "VM Location" is also the location of the hostpool objects and not the location of the virtual machines anymore.Re: Connection error popup low virtual memory
Hi, a lot of people have this error at the moment. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1865745/remote-desktop-reconnect-failes It is definitely not related to the memory of the avd host. The client does not stop the process after disconnection. Microsoft should be aware of the problem as there were opened multiple support tickets right now. If you wait 2 to 3 minutes before reconnecting it might not occure and the process is released, that would be the reason, why you don't see it every time. Azure Automation Update Management didn't support Windows 10/11 either. But in fact I also see no other convenient way to handle the updates while scaling AVD SessionHosts and have a fixed maintenance window, so we have to migrate to it. Intune lacks so many features for us on this side. The new Azure Update Manager also updates Windows 10 and 11 machines even though it is not officially supported. The CMDlets to automate the update assignments seem to be buggy at the moment unfortunately. A downside of the new Update Manager is that if you have machines in availability sets they won't get patched parallel and it would exceed every maintenance window.Re: Announcing FSLogix 2201 hotfix 1 (2.9.8171.14983) has been released!
Jason_Parker Is it possible that you somehow broke the static download url for the latest fslogix? We always download the latest agent via "https://aka.ms/fslogix_download" via Invoke-Webrequest because the AVD base image is always not maintained and has an old fslogix release installed. Hi Community, the AVD Windows 10 Images do contain many outdated APPX such as Calculator and the Snipping tool or the store itself. Is there a way to update the Image without logging in with an interactive session and start the store? This solution does not work in an automated larger environment. I have no solution for the personal desktop unassignement, but using pooled with scaling and limiting to 1 concurrent user would be the the way in your usecase. I don't see the need for real personal hostpool, when the users switch all the time.Re: What is your experience with Start VM on connect. Share your voice!
evasse on our site it is working fine on single and multisession hostpools so far, the remote client could check a bit more often if the server is already available to make a smoother customer experience. Is there any hint, when it is going to GA so we can use it in productive hostpools?
