Lock down Form creation for staff
Hi, I want some staff being able to create forms/surveys etc. https://forms.microsoft.com/ I want to ensure that the rest of the staff can consume the forms ,i.e. fill in, but not create new or "Collaborate or Duplicate". What is the best way for me to do this? Thank you for your time, OllieSolvedTransaction was deadlocked on lock resources with another process ??
Hi, We have a cognos datastage job that updates a table. It fails with an error that the table is locked., see below ini_PerformanceManagement_tblEmployees,0: ODBC function "SQLExecute" reported: SQLSTATE = 40001: Native Error Code = 1,205: Msg = [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server][SQL Server]Transaction (Process ID 67) was deadlocked on lock resources with another process and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction. (CC_OdbcDBStatement::executeUpdate, file CC_OdbcDBStatement.cpp, line 1,058) Anyone any ideas about how to resolve this? Hi, I am using a SharePoint site as a database for a desk booking system. The data is held in SharePoint lists. I want to delete old data, i.e. items older that 1 month Is there an easy way to do this?, the list contains thousands of records from the past 4 years. Hi, How can I get a staff members Director from Azure AD? Some staff's manager, will be their director, for some it will be their managers, manager, i.e 2 levels up. For others it may be 3 or 4 levels up dependant where they sit on the organisational structure. The Director AD accounts are marked with the Description field populated with the word "Director". What would be the easiest way of doing this? Thank you for your time, Ollie86Views0likes1CommentCreate feed from Viva Engage to intranet
Hi, We are upgrading our intranet and we want to include a feed from Viva Engage (e.g. JSON or XML) to our intranet from a particular channel that we have created. https://engage.cloud.microsoft/main/org/investni.com/groups/eyJfdHlwZSI6Ikdyb3VwIiwiaWQiOiIyMDYyODQ2NTI1NDQifQ/new How would I do that? Thank you for your time, OllieSending email from Microsoft Forms
Hi, I have just started to look at and use Microsoft Forms. I would like to automate emails when a staff member fills in a form. Ideally to their manager (who is recorded in AD which in turn is synced to Azure AD via AD Connect). Is this in any way possible, e.g. using Flow etc.? Hi, Is it possible to add button called “Catering” on to the meeting window, see newmeeting.png attached? If so, I would use this to open a web browser window to a PowerApps app where the room, date and time were passed through and the user could fill out bespoke fields. On submitting this would be logged in a list and trigger an email. See attached example where we have a link from a website blocked page which passes the page url through to a PowerApp, see weblink.png attached. Building the PowerApps form isn't the issue, it is adding the button on the Outlook meeting window. Is this possible? Hi, I have set up a Conditional Access Policy so that some of our Guest accounts are required to have MFA to access the SharePoint Online subsite that they have been invited to. These Guests are added to a SharePoint Group and internal staff added to an on-prem AD group which is synced up to Azure AD and this domain group given access. When a set up the CA, see screenshot, I can add individual guest accounts. This means that when I invite an external user to the group, I also have to manually add them to the CA policy. Is it possible to include the SharePoint group to the policy rather than individual guest accounts? Thank you, OllieSharePoint Online Audit Trail
Hi, Is it possible to obtain an audit trail of who has logged on, where they have visited, documents they have downloaded etc. from SharePoint Online for a particular site or sub-site? and/or Overall stats on activity for a site or sub-site? Thank you for your time, OllieAccess to SharePoint Audit logs
Hi, I have a requirement to give someone who deals with document management access to the audit logs for SharePoint via "Office 365 Security & Compliance" https://protection.office.com/unifiedauditlog I don't want to add them to the Site Collection Administrators group as I don't want to give them access to the audit logs for all Office365 applications .. exchange, teams, SharePoint , yammer etc. Is there a best practice or what would be the best way to do this? Thank you for your time, OllieAccess to bespoke tile.
Hi, We want to create a tile to our intranet, see attached image. We have some external stakeholders who have @investni.com AD accounts that are synced up to Azure and have access to certain resources. We want our staff to see the tile but NOT the stakeholders. When I add/edit a tile it doesn't seem to give me any restriction options and just makes the tile available for all under the organisation. Is it possible to restrict a tile to certain AD groups or is there another way to achieve this result? Thank you, Ollie1.1KViews0likes1CommentUse AD security groups in Office 365.?
Hi, We have our AD users and security groups dirsynced to Azure AD. From a sub-site, can I go to Site Settings >> People and Groups and use one of our synced groups to manage staff permissions for that site or sub-site? Thanks you for your time, Ollie1.3KViews0likes2CommentsOffice 365 Calendar - Can I share a calendar with an Azure AD group?
Hi, We sync our on premise AD to Azure and use on-premise groups to manage permissions to sub sites etc. for Office 365. When a create a secondary calendar and try to share it. It only allows be to share with individual users. It is possible for me to match the group membership but would be easier from an admin perspective if I could simply share with the AD group. Is this possible? Thank you, Ollie4.6KViews0likes1CommentMicrosoft Planner - On-premise to Azure synced groups
Hi, I have just started to play with Microsoft Planner. I have created group on our premise AD with members added, then give that group the Planner license in Azure AD. see azure.png attached. When I go to create a new plan, I do not have an option to create already available groups. The new Plan that I create, creates a new Azure AD group which I do not want or do not want other users to do. How do I stop new groups being created and just limit it to the synced groups that I create on premise. Hope that makes sense.
