Built-in SSN sensitive info type - excluded values
Does Microsoft's built-in SSN sensitive info type exclude any values by default or do we need to customize it to remove potential false positives for scenarios like the following: SSNs beginning with the number "666" in positions 1-3 SSNs beginning with the number "9" SSNs beginning with the number "000" in positions 1-3 SSNs with the numbers "00" in positions 4-5 SSNs with the number "0000" in positions 6-9 SSNs with repeating values. All 1's, 2's, 3's, etc. SSNs in a predictable sequence; 123456789 or 987654321Microsoft Lists Enhanced Rich Text fields issue with Teams Dark Mode
I have a few users that are using the Lists app in Microsoft Teams to track information and have a multi-line text column with https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/edit-a-rich-text-list-column-6ba62e7e-ee63-4716-9f95-f626770c3fff#:~:text=In%20the%20menu%2C%20select%20Multiple,Click%20Save.. When a user enables dark mode in Microsoft Teams and fills out the field, it automatically sets the text color to white instead of changing how black text is presented on the screen. This is causing issues for their teammates because the white text shows on a white background for users with the default color settings in Teams. Are there any workaround recommendations other than: Turn off the enhanced rich text on the column Request that users don't use dark mode in Teams Have the dark mode users interact with the List from a browser that isn't using dark mode Here's a similar post from about a year ago - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msteams/forum/all/microsoft-lists-enhanced-rich-text-is-not/c42bef08-caac-4bb9-9ca0-45c0c4890fe92.7KViews8likes7CommentsUse dynamic group membership to control which users can be added to a Team
Is there a way to use dynamic group membership to manage which users can be added to a Team? For example, I want a Team's owners to be able to add and remove members to a Team if they belong to a specific department but prevent adding users outside of that department. Another use would be to limit who can be added based on their membership in another group.1.7KViews0likes1CommentRe: Lists - column to show the department code for an individual listed in a person column
Bharath Arja ganeshsanap - thanks for the responses! I'll take a look at using Power Automate to update the field as needed. I also submitted a request to the feedback portal to https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/d9bd24c3-0114-ed11-a81b-6045bd864d4fthat would act similar to Lookup columns.11KViews0likes0CommentsLists - column to show the department code for an individual listed in a person column
I have a list where I want to add an individual under a person column and have their respective department code automatically populate in a separate column for organization purposes. Is there a way to use a calculated column to reference that individual's AD attributes?Solved12KViews0likes6CommentsDynamic team membership if an Owner of a different Team
I lead a Community of Practice/Champions Team for Team Owners across an organization and I'm looking to automate the group's membership. Is there a way to use dynamic group membership to automatically add users to the Team based on if they are an Owner of a different Team?Retention Policies and OneNote Notebooks
Does anyone have any enterprise best practices concerning how to manage/maintain OneNote notebooks when your organization requires retention policies in OneDrive and SPO? I have a situation where notebooks started to be deleted from users' OneDrives (x) days after they were created. We found that the modified date doesn't change when a user modifies a section or page of the notebook, only when a notebook's property has been changed. For the time being, our workaround is to update the notebook's name, but I can't suggest that to 6,000+ users as a long-term fix.3.1KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Control a user's ability to become a Team Owner with a Security Group
simpkinspete If we can't control that permission, we could set up an https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/compliance/create-activity-alerts?view=o365-worldwide based on a "https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/audit-log-events#teams-activities" event to trigger a helpdesk ticket to review the event.1.6KViews0likes1CommentRe: Control a user's ability to become a Team Owner with a Security Group
Unfortunately, that wouldn't help in this case. We have that group defined and have implemented a provisioning process for new teams. We're looking for a way to help drive team owner accountability and validate that they have been properly trained to manage their teams.1.6KViews0likes0Comments
