Re: Additional audio tracks on videos disappear after a few seconds of playback
karen_dredske Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, the article is not referring to the issue I'm having. Did anybody get this feature to work? How did you do it? Why is Stream playing my additional audio tracks for a few seconds, but then decides the track cannot be played?798Views0likes2CommentsAdditional audio tracks on videos disappear after a few seconds of playback
I was trying out the new audio tracks feature only to find it doesn't seem to work on my end: When I add an additional audio track to a video, Stream uploads it and presents the earphone icon. When I select the new audio track, Stream switches to the different track, plays it back for a few seconds and then switches back to the original track, removing the earphone icon. An error message says: This audio title cannot be played back. The audio track has exactly the same length as the video. I tried differen formats (M4A, FLAC, WMA, WAV) and different channel layouts (Mono, Stereo, 5.1). The result is always the same: This audio title cannot be played back. Is anyone else having this issue? What can I do to avoid it?879Views0likes4CommentsOneDrive links to PowerPoint presentations cannot be opened on iPad
I uploaded PowerPoint presentations to OneDrive and sent links to users. Editing and downloading are blocked. Everything works fine, except: iPad users complain that the PowerPoint presentations do not work on Safari. PowerPoint app is installed, but cannot open presentations. How can I fix this?2.2KViews0likes3CommentsVideo subtitles not showing up when inserting link to video file
Here is what I do: Insert a video file from my hard drive (MP4/HEVC). The video is linked to, not embedded. Add video subtitles in WebVTT format. Both the video and the subtitles play flawlessly in VLC Player. Not so in PowerPoint: The video plays fine. But the subtitles do not even show up. I can spot a subtitle button on PowerPoint's video player bar. It is not visible when I do not add subtitles or remove them. So, I assume the subtitles have been added. But the button does nothing when I click it. However, when I embed the video into PowerPoint, the same subtitles work just fine. But embedding is not an option for me. It takes too long, blows up the presentation file and reduces video quality. Most of all, the video is sped up so much that you cannot follow the dialogue and voices sound like Mickey Mouse. How can I fix this?610Views0likes0CommentsRe: Issue with authorization access for Teams group member to Stream video
Same here. We create groups in Teams. Then we grant viewing permissions to those groups in Stream. Some group members can access their videos, some cannot. We were waiting several days to allow the permissions to get synced between Teams and Stream. This is really awkward. We send links to people, but we never know if they actually can access their videos. I think we really need a fix here ... Any help? Maybe ChrisKnowlton?Re: OneDrive links to PowerPoint presentations cannot be opened on iPad
Alireza Rahimifarid Again, thanks. Unfortunately, it does not work. The PowerPoint app won't open OneDrive links to presentations when editing and downloading are blocked. Any other ideas? Is it possible to securely share PowerPoint presentations with iPad users (no editing or downloading)?2KViews0likes0CommentsRe: The video could not be found - in PowerPoint (it can be found in PowerPoint online, though)
ChrisKnowlton I'm on Office 365. I did another update a few minutes ago. Unfortunately, the problem persists. When I insert the Stream video PowerPoint switches to my private Microsoft account. I cannot play the video, even if I manually switch back to my business Microsoft account.Re: The video could not be found - in PowerPoint (it can be found in PowerPoint online, though)
ChrisKnowlton Thanks for pointing me to updates. Usually, I'm receiving updates automatically. I assumed I was having the latest version, but not so. I updated to the most recent version available to me: 16.0.11929.20708. I'm on Windows. Unfortunately, the update didn't help. I noticed a funny behaviour: I'm signed in with my work account. Once I insert a Stream video PowerPoint automatically switches to my private account saying: Unfortunately, we cannot connect with your account. Please sign in again to solve the problem. (I translated from German. The English text might be slightly different.) Even if I switch back manually to my work account I cannot access the embedded video. I'm not getting any error messages when signed in with my work account. The private account is the one I use to sign in with Windows. The video could not be found - in PowerPoint (it can be found in PowerPoint online, though)
When I embed a Stream video in PowerPoint I get the error message "The video could not be found". The link is working in the browser, though. It even works when opening the exact same presentation in PowerPoint online. Any idea how to solve this mystery?
