Re: Change LAB Image Definition
Hi there, unfortunately we currently don't have a way to move a template from one lab to another. I'll take this as feedback to put on the backlog. Quick question - do trainers want to change/update the Main-LAB's template while a training program is ongoing? Or is it that they want to grab a copy of the Main-Lab's VM setup and update it in a test lab? I think the best option would be to keep the "Main-LAB" template VM image as the source of truth, and whenever you need to test new setup, create a new test lab from the image that's saved to a shared image gallery. You'd have to delete the old test lab and create the new lab.712Views0likes0CommentsRe: Shutdown when idle does not seem to work, Any suggestions?
Hi there, unfortunately our auto-shutdown settings currently do not enable custom definitions of what "idle" means. The "shut-down when idle" setting shuts down when there is no user input (keyboard, mouse) and if the CPU usage is low. If you have a good estimate of how long the simulations run on average, you could try setting the auto-shutdown when idle to be much longer (e.g. several hours). You could also try setting stop-only schedules at specific times that will shut down all the student VMs by a certain time.1.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: Azure lab services to get floating license from existing license manager in other servers
hi there, you can use the VNET peering functionality (Doc: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/lab-services/how-to-connect-peer-virtual-network) that enables you to connect to a virtual network the licensing server is in. I hope this helps!981Views0likes0CommentsRe: Slow publishing
flaviocesar Thanks for the feedback and please follow Nicole's guidelines here if the problem persists. The product team is currently working on backend improvements that is expected to improve the performance and reliability of lab creation and publish experiences. We expect this to ship sometime in May-June timeframe. We'll post further updates as we get closer to shipping the new improvements in our blog: https://aka.ms/azlabs-blog1.1KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Internet issues with Nested Virtualization Hyper-V VMs when publishing template
Hi Erwin, It's great to see you in the forum! Let me connect you with the author of the nested virtualization article to see if she can help. I'll ask her to respond here once she investigates.4.1KViews1like0Comments
