Re: Wish To Remove guest account from MS teams desktop App
This seems like bad design for sure, why not let me go to my Manage Account IN TEAMS and remove the account, just like I add one. Recently my guest account has been inhibiting other services, such as the integration with Outlook. No easy way to remove a second account from the Client...114KViews1like0CommentsRe: Creating Plans with restricted Group create rights
Danie Claassen I am a Global Admin for our Tenant and we are working through the same issue. We have disabled self service Group Creation. We would like existing Group Owners, that we have assigned, to be able to create sub plans under there own groups. @Planner team, any thoughts on that possibility?5.9KViews1like0CommentsRe: Export to excel: You must have a Microsoft SharePoint Foundation-compatible application
All, just to add, you can start FROM Excel and import the data via the Data tab... works no matter what the version of IE or Office is... Data > Get Data > From Other Sources > SharePoint List.148KViews0likes1CommentSharing Link to A Video Downloads the File?
All, wondering if there is a known setting (of which I can't find quickly) that directs the receiver of a Sharing message from SharePoint Online or OneDrive for Business to the web interface of a video. Right now the behavior is to download the video? Seems... not right.2.2KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Create Modern Team Site NOT Linked to a Group
Mark MoranActually no - I was recently revisiting this topic with my team and organization and am still wondering if this is possible. jcgonzalezmartin- obviously we can create a communication site without being linked to a team, the issue there is still the lack of flexibility to choose the navigation layout - would love to have the ability to have a left nav or not <or full page look or not, which ever view suits you. :) >. We are still not using Groups due to the fact that we are in full Hybrid Mode and on premises users cannot locate the groups in the GAL. Finally we are handing out sites pretty quickly now and would like to NOT have to convert them to modern pages manually - especially when we offer groups and start converting the existing team sites. Mark-Kashmanhoping you will chime in with a thought or possibility here.9.4KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Delete Group but not Team
Ramsay, I would ask you why you want to "delete the group". Are you planning on blocking great functions like attaching files to conversations? I would look deeper into taking advantage of the features of Office 365 Groups with Teams. You can always https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_o365admin-mso_manage/hide-office-365-groups/3b71a957-75ff-4e83-b1d8-0cada193df20to avoid the email address of the group.17KViews0likes0CommentsCreate Modern Team Site NOT Linked to a Group
All, Recently we were able to create Modern Team sites and communciations sites NOT linked to an Office 365 Group from the SharePoint Home page "Create Site Function". It seems that has gone away and we are now required to create a Group for team sites (communication sites seem fine). Is it me? Can we create a modern team site without creating a group?11KViews2likes7CommentsRe: Disabling site creation in the SharePoint admin center
So I understand this a little differently - and specifically the SharePoint admin console states - "Show the Create site command to users who have permission to create sites". We have disabled users creating Office 365 Groups self service, but enabling this actually shows everyone the create site button, but tells them access denied. Based on this article, the statement of "Show the users..." is false then? Is there a command or group that we can set so that only particular people can create new sites? And Sites only, not groups... https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/Manage-site-creation-in-SharePoint-Online-e72844a3-0171-47c9-befb-e98b23e2dcf911KViews0likes1CommentRe: Manual Creation of Modern Team Site?
Thanks for the info - was aware of most. I guess what I really want to know is "why do I have to do all of these manual steps". We currently do not use groups and are working through that now. The "site template" for modern sites would be very beneficial to me on its own. Second, the fact that I can create a modern team site via the groups function and cannot be consistent with subsites is a bit of an issue with me also. I think this is going to confuse/frustrate that common everyday consumer/local site admin. I guess I will just keep monitoring and see if the site template can be created on its own in the SPOAdmin console...5KViews0likes0CommentsManual Creation of Modern Team Site?
Looked and did not see much of anything regarding this. I am getting the Modern Team site experience when using Groups. Why do new "manually" created site collections use the old Team Site? Is there a way to convert them? Is there a method to manually create Modern Team sites?5.3KViews0likes8CommentsFeedback - The New Community - Currently not Enjoyable
First, I am rarely negative, you will just have to take my word for it. :smileywink: More importantly, I wanted to point out Scott Wards Post here: "Feedback on new Community" I would have tagged him, but the @ Function only brought up 5 results and looking for more did not work. I found I agreed with most of this. Yammer was a great platform and in my opinion, should have stayed there. This particular platform is very rudimentary (no insults intended, really...) and I find it unattractive and not interactive at all. Over the last few days it has actually turned me off. The mobile experience is no better. Yammers Mobile application is great for what is needed. It's not like the target group for this has not given TONS of feedback to Microsoft and the Communities on function, ease of use, etc... for all the products. So why give the technical groups an incomplete solution for helping us sell and support Office 365 and its supporting solutions? You have to know what our basic needs are? Right? I understand the goal is to improve, but this feels like "Old School Microsoft", scrap a good solution, change the name and technology and introduce it as new and improved. I also realize that we are abandoning Yammer for the community so... hoping for more improvements quickly.903Views1like1Comment
