Re: How to see all tasks by all staff over all planner boards in one schedule
Hi Team No, we still cannot do what I wanted even after months of trying ..... Natalia - Looks like you need the same thing as me and we have tried but still cannot achieve all the tasks from all the plans in the one place... 😞 If I ever get the chance to talk to Microsoft, I will bring this up. Maybe you have access to a Microsoft Office MVP who might be able to feed this request back? I do not have faith in the user voice as something with as little ticks as ours requires will be far down the list of priorities I imagine.15KViews1like1CommentWhat is the difference between Office 2019 and M365?
We are about to move from Office 2019 to M365 (Office) and I need to inform the organisation about the differences between the two. Are there any comparison guides that focus on the user experience rather than the subscription prices and apps available? Thank you1.3KViews1like1CommentRe: Adoption Masterminds Virtual Meetup
Hi Janie I think an Adoption Masterminds event sounds right up my alley. I have registered for the next one but as it is at 2am my time (Adelaide, South Australia) I am unlikely to attend. Are the sessions being recorded to play back later? Cheers636Views0likes1CommentRe: Mindmap in Teams - Please come to the party Microsoft.
HelloBenTeoh Hi Ben! Long time no see - hope you are well 🙂 Microsoft Visio - We need something for the whole org to use that is intuitive to use without having to learn a whole program so I am afraid that cuts out Visio. Whiteboard also has support for custom templates now. - I did not know this and I will go investigate right now. Cheers 🙂 Sharyn5.1KViews1like3CommentsMindmap in Teams - Please come to the party Microsoft.
We are looking for a Microsoft app for Mind Mapping. Similar to how Whiteboard is a standalone app as well as one that is integrated into Teams. Use Cases: Individual brainstorming for individual work Individuals brainstorming for team work Teams brainstorming for team work I notice that whiteboard continues to add more templates that are useful for team work but the lack of mind mapping function in Whiteboard is is glaring. I have added my vote to user voice for this but with the amount of votes there I doubt this request will make it onto the radar for consideration. I can see there are a number of 3rd party options but we would rather use something by Microsoft that is designed to be integrated and works well. We would even be willing to consider an in-built mind mapping feature anywhere else in M365 e.g. OneNote, Word etc. Has anybody encountered this feature elsewhere in M365 and I have just missed it? Can we amend Approvals flows or structure in Teams?
Our Marketing Team is experimenting with using Approvals in Teams for Media releases. Example: Draft media statement must go first to the business unit to approve content. Person 1 After that approval, it must go to the General Manager. Person 2 After that approval, it must go to the CEO. Person 3 After that approval, the media statement is then sent onto the Media. They have tried to setup a conditional approval whereby it must go to person 1 and then person 2 and then person 3. However, they do not want person 2 or 3 to see the draft before it is approved by person 1 - and also, person 3 should not see the draft before it is approved by person 2 There does not seem to be a way to tweak the default approval template / form. They tried creating their own template but the workflow does not allow for hiding the file from person 2 or 3. We looked at Power Automate templates and also tried to create our own Power Automate flow but we how no "Power" knowledge. Does anybody know of a way we can ensure the Approval stays inside Teams but also be able to tweak the underlying flows in the approvals? Our Marketing Team has a Team inside Microsoft Teams (Team A) In Team A, they created a Home tab. Using "Open in SharePoint" they amended the content of the Home site to include all the structure they need. They want to use that Home site structure as a template for when they create new Teams. So, they will create a new Team and then hope to insert a Home tab that already has the Team A structure ready to go. Is this possible without creating a Team Template? The only thing they want to recreate is the Home Tab content, not the Teams Channels or file structures etc. I hope this makes sense. Thank youHow to see all tasks by all staff over all planner boards in one schedule
Our Events staff work in Microsoft Teams in a team called COMMUNITY EVENTS. Each event they organise is represented as a channel. Each channel has its own Planner board to list tasks to complete that event. There are 6 staff as team members and they are all doing different types of tasks inside the same Planner board. There are currently 26 events going on, ergo 26 channels, 26 planner boards. This team needs to see ALL the tasks across all 26 channels / planner boards in one calendar. I cannot figure out how to do this. Does anybody have any ideas please? Also, if we were to create one team per event, rather than one channel per event, would that make achieving this overall calendar any easier? Thanks24KViews3likes35CommentsCan I gather a summary of outstanding Planner tasks for individuals across many Teams
Our marketing team (6 people) are each a member of the same Team in Microsoft Teams. (called Communications) Inside the Communications Team, each person has a channel of their own with their own individual planner board containing personal tasks (We are not yet in Exchange in the cloud so cannot use ToDo, so this is our only option right now to track individual tasks). Inside the Communications Team there is also a channel for each Event we put on for the community. Inside each Event channel in the Communications Team there is a planner for that event in which each of the the 6 team members are assigned individual tasks for that event. Also, each of the Marketing team members are members of other Teams in the organisation of which they are assigned Planner tasks in those Teams. The Marketing manager has asked me to figure out how to gather a combined list of outstanding tasks for every one of her team members across all the organisational Teams each of them are a member of. I am wondering if there is a way to do this? Any ideas, and thank you in advance.2.2KViews0likes4CommentsSearch for comments when collaborating on a doc in Teams
Inside Teams, whilst collaborating on a large, multi-page.docx, users have inserted many comments throughout the document. Currently, the only way to find a particular comment is to scroll through the document page by page and look at each comment to see if it is the one they need. There has got to be a better way! How can we: a) search for a particular comment using key words in the comment b) move quickly to a comment upon opening a document without having to scroll through pages to get there? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you1.1KViews0likes1Comment
