table cells won't stay at correct size...
I am using a document the school sent to me. It has a table of three columns. When I put data in the leftmost column it widens to accept it all. Some of it is a long URL. It keeps it as one long string across the page. When I put data which again includes a long URL in the middle column the URL gets broken across two lines just like 'word wrap' usually works. By the now the rightmost column is almost completely gone. I can just see it. I paste data in there and it doesn't give any errors but I can't see the data. I can select a cell vertical side and try to move it but it won't move. It will select but not move. How can I lock this table in place so I can paste data in there and the data will 'wrap' to fit within the columns?469Views0likes0Commentshow to use a dotx file?
It seems simple enough - just open it and start writing. But I find the expandable text boxes being shown there a bit offputting and I find that I have to manually expand them to be able to write more. So offputting I figure I"m doing it wrong. The template should be invisible to me shouldn't it? I just write and it performs? So I have a dotx file my school insisted I download and use for letters. How do I use it? Can anyone help? p.s. I now find the text box won't expand to a second page - so I can't even continue a letter. I must have it very wrong. I'm happy to upload the dotx but there seems no provision.57KViews0likes3Commentshow to merge cells in word 365
Word 365 I have been googling and following advice. 'go to layout and...', 'go to table tools and...' Neither work. There is no 'merge group', there is no 'merge cells' There's even an automatic menu pops up when I select the cells I want to merge - but it offers no merge.. how to merge cells?677Views0likes0CommentsRe: failed to cache the downloaded installer. Error: 0x80070005
Yes, I've tried that, again and again. I downloaded it again at your prompting and that made the 7th one of them. I do it again and again lest there be some minute difference in the versions or something - maybe just appealing to black magic - but, whatever, it doesn't help. Error code 2 again. https://imgur.com/AZ2eWjB3.7KViews0likes0Commentsfailed to cache the downloaded installer. Error: 0x80070005
I have the latest ver of win10. Simply cannot get Google Earth to install. I get the above error. GE runs in Google Chrome however. This has been going on ever since I put up this totally new Win10 install - on a totally new hard drive. I have found no useful help anywhere. Can anyone help even if only directing to a place where they might specialise in such as this?3.8KViews0likes2Comments
