Re: Migrating from AD hybrid to new AD because of company adquisition.
Technically it is more like a rebranding, but not sure if that can be done. The old domain company.com, needs to disappear and become parent.com. But everywhere. On premise, on Azure. It will affects everything. No sure what is the best patch considering the sheer amount of moving parts. In an old world migrating to a new on-premise domain should do it. But because of the deep integration with Azure and Office 365 tenant, the problem is way more complex.2.5KViews0likes1CommentMigrating from AD hybrid to new AD because of company adquisition.
I have this scenario where a company have an on-premises domain syncing to Azure AD, and using standard on-premises services like file servers, and also Microsoft 365, all type of Azure services, Intune, etc. Let's call it company.com. The company has a parent company that exist only in paper, parent.com The management team decided to migrate everything under company.com to the new domain parent.com. That would affect everything, users, files servers on premise, Intune, the old domain, the mailboxes, Onedrive. etc. What is the best path to manage that migration?Re: Help on how to build a custom image with Trusted Launch
Yes, I followed those steps. With the difference that when creating the image I don't have the option of creating a standalone managed image and the only option is to share the image on gallery. It looks like it cannot create a regular image (not shared) for the VM with Trusted Launch. This is only a guess.1.2KViews0likes0CommentsHelp on how to build a custom image with Trusted Launch
I am trying to built a custom image with Trusted Launch following the requirements listed here After getting the generalized image ready I cannot add it to Windows 365, it is not even listed. To built the base VM I selected a VM image compatible with Trusted Launch and after that when over the process of deleting the temporary partition etc. Am I missing something here?1.3KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Getting the same error in Azure Network Connections over and over again
JeffBryant thanks for the help. Moving the deactivated account back to the proper OU did it. I will have to find out how the accounts are being moved out that OU in the first place. I am still not sure how Windows 365 uses those accounts.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsDevices not getting Updates and the report saying "Intune Sync Older Than 5 Days"
Posting this here in case it may help somebody else. I checked the affected devices and they were not syncing with Intune with the error "The Sync could not be initiated (0x80072f8f)". After some googling I found out that the service "Device Management Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Push message Routing Service" was involved in the process. Not 100% sure why, but after just restarting that service the Intune synchronization worked.4.4KViews0likes0CommentsGetting the same error in Azure Network Connections over and over again
I have several Azure Network Connections in place and they seems to be working fine. But more than once per week I get the error in the attached screenshot. "The computer account <XXX> already exist in the domain" After deleting that computer account from Active Directory and clicking Retry the problem disappears and it works for a few days. Them again the same error. When it happens it affects all the Azure Network Connections at the same time.Solved1.4KViews0likes3CommentsDevices not showing up on the Autopatch Portal
I am testing Autopatch on our environment, I added several devices to the "Windows Autopatch Device Registration: but only one is showing up as a discovered device. All devices are Windows 10 and Windows 11, Intune managed devices, and on the group there are laptops, regular Azure VMs and Windows 365 VMs Also this device that is on the discovered list of devices went automatically to the "First" group. When I try to move it to the Test group the process looks ok but the group change doesn't happen. I opened a case with Microsoft, still waiting for a solution. When I get one I will posted here. In the mean time, any ideas?Solved3KViews0likes3Comments
