Re: Dev channel update to 90.0.796.0 is live
josh_bodner https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/discussions/dev-channel-update-to-90-0-796-0-is-live/m-p/2148197/highlight/true#M44111 Unfortunatelly this does not helped either. Flags are reset to defaults, browser restarted and still getting white window. Can you please specify the flag name in question? Thanks2.3KViews0likes1CommentRe: Dev channel update to 90.0.796.0 is live
Nope, incognito window still have the same problem. The thing is that you see it is faster because you already have a normal windows open. if you close all EDGE windows and only open incognito, still same get 5-6 sec. white rectangle.2.6KViews1like0CommentsRe: Dev channel update to 90.0.796.0 is live
josh_bodner This version is completely broken. When starting EDGE, it takes 5-6 sec and the windows stays all white (no title bar, just a white rectangle) this is 30 times slower than previous version - and very annoying - nearly unusable9.7KViews12likes15CommentsRe: Dev channel update to 86.0.608.2 is live
josh_bodner It does not matter what you fix or update if this browser still lack major functionality: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/discussions/provide-run-open-save-save-as-options-when-downloading-files/m-p/962775 no [Open/Run/Save as] option when downloading files. This was critical functionality on ALL MS browsers so far and main reason most people to use MS browsers10KViews2likes0CommentsRe: Dev channel update to 84.0.522.5 is live
josh_bodner All this is useless, unless MS decide to bring back a vital feature that ALL MS browsers currently have (except EDGE Chromium) https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/discussions/provide-run-open-save-save-as-options-when-downloading-files/m-p/962775/page/44.4KViews1like0CommentsRe: Provide run / open / save / save as options when downloading files - Discussion
This is what M$ do best! They REMOVE features with every new product. - This happened with Skype, as soon as M$ bought it they removed half of the functionalities, introduced enormously stupid UI for mobile and altogether ruined a brilliant product. - This happened with Lync, being replaced with Skype-for-business then Teams. Now Teams again missing extremely vital functions, like chatting directly with FEDERATED domain users, sharing files, direct calls with non-org-wide users and most important - CANNOT GET RID OF STUPID BANNERS WITHOUT TURN OFF NOTIFICATION SOUNDS ! How stupid is that? - This happened with Windows, being removed old fashioned control panel features and replacing with "modern" alternatives that LACK functionality. Basically turning my 30" monitor into a tablet - reduced stuff that you can see on screen. Now this is happening with EDGE, the only good feature that EDGE (and IE) had is to be able to "open/run" any file that you don't want to keep on the drive and you don't have to organize it and clean downloads folder all the time. Not to mention that this works perfectly when I need to download a zip file and then just grab one file form it. On old EDGE I click open, zip file opens and I drag one file out of it, close it and all that other crap is gone. Now I have to download it into downloads folder, go there, open it, and then go back to delete it manually cause I don't want those to pile up! Same with PDFs that I just want to look for 3 sec. and I don't need them, same with MSI installers ... This is what M$ good at - removing functionality that are already existing to make it "better"3.5KViews2likes1CommentRe: Provide run / open / save / save as options when downloading files - Discussion
well This conversation is a dead end. We discussing a feature that MS support on ALL their other browsers, but they are not even consider implementing anything like it on Chromium EDGE. I don't think anything will happen on this case in next couple of year, if at all.2.3KViews0likes11CommentsRe: Disable banner notifications and keep sound notification?
BDSmith Baner to triger sound notification ? - This is the stupidest ever feature MS implemented. How the heck I can disable banner without disable sound notification for messages !? What does one have to do with the other? MS make everithing possible to annoy greater ammount of people - successfuly!26KViews1like1CommentRe: Top Feedback Summary for October 8
David Rubino This : is showing that it is "Under Review" for 7 weeks, for the last 4 weeks. (by my opinion this is sitting here for 13 weeks now) - This is vital feature that is present on ALL MS browsers so far but they somehow not sure if they need to implement it here. Sad.2.8KViews0likes0Comments
